Hello Pakpassioners! Its been a while since I posted a thread so please don't mind this :yk2

I don't think I need to further discussion the Coronavirus situation and how it is going to affect the fans. YES I know health is paramount and under such circumstances, Cricket should not even make our priority list. Yet I am starting to feel empty without no cricket going on right now. It is always great to have cricket in backdrop in my room after a tiring day at the work and gym.

To those of you here who are cricket addicts, how would you cope with the lack of cricket in the days to come?

Plenty of things to do apart from Cricket.

In current circumstances it is right to cancel all sports events.Cricket is not so special that people's live are put at risk.I think they will ostone summer olympics in Tokyo which are going to take place this year.I don't care!

With the hope that this is all gonna get better. :dw

Study (on cricket, if you really don't have other things to spend time off) - there are fascinating staffs on cricket in Victorian age, in between two great wars, during post-colonial eras of 1950s-1970s. Even you can spend several hours just studying the scorecards/match reports of past games/series .... the famous Ashes during Grace, Hobbs, Bradman, Miller, Botham, Lillee's time; initial day's of ODI cricket, great series between great teams of different era - AUS/WIN 1961 series, AUS/SAF 1960s, SAF/ENG 1900s ..... First Test Triangle Tournament of 1912...... history of South Asian cricket ..... famous County/Shield season/games.....

But, better use will be to focus on something meaningful - pray for mercy, study hard on your courses, do some certifications ..... I am using these times to do some professional certification on Taxation, Insurance, Financial investment portfolio and trying to learn classical Arabic as a language :)

Dont understand the logic behind PSL matches still going ahead. 🤦*♂️ Pretty selfish decision, i am sure they could have found a week window for the finals later on.

I've been playing the hell out of Cricket 19 on Xbox One, if anyone wants to play me online please let me know!

This is so depressing

This virus hit a couple of months before the cricket season starts here in England. Major preparations halted

Time to sort out the full tours schedules
Maybe shorten future tours too or just combine them

Yea no school so there is more time on hands.

Today I ate a lot, exercised and worked on my power hitting.

Tomorrow I will wake up jacked. :afridi1

watch Bangladesh vs auatralia
and Bangladesh whooping pakistan and India's sorry butts in the world cup games.

Can you please tell me what is risk in playing cricket in empty stadium ? What's wrong with that ?

You playing this season? for your regional district I mean or whatever level you play at?

mine is cancelled for A grade warehouse cricket.
grade cricket is being played behind closed doors.

Well I need to get a few things done ASAP.

A break from cricket/PP is probably exactly what I needed.

it's gonna be really depressing. It's really difficult to live without cricket.I watch almost everything be it Leagues. it's really gonna be difficult for me.colleges are off too. It's gonna be difficult to pass the time.

Absolutely bored without cricket and football.

I am watching some TV series to make up for no sport.

Where is PP cricket league when we need it ?

Well I for one am so happy that the pointless SAF series is cancelled. :inzi

You can just binge on dozens of TV shows out there. They're right at your fingertips.

Learn new skills (language, coding, recipes etc.).

That's how I am trying to keep myself occupied.

There is a lock down here, but I was getting really into cricket training last few weeks. I think we are going to carry on doing outdoor nets with 4-5 people, so will take a lot of enjoyment in that... Maybe you can do that instead?

if anyone has any ideas of precautions we can take (so far can think of - no shaking hands obviously; no sharing cricket balls; if you have flu, fever, cough don’t come!) to avoid infection, let me know!

My other suggestion is - shadow cricket in your room :) start working on a technical aspect of your game. I know it sounds funny, but actually this has helped me last couple of months getting my bat coming much straighter and getting my grip further up the bat handle to use more of the left hand when driving. Lol. Actually this is the stuff I am working on now in the cricket nets after the shadow cricketing in my room!

Maybe someone can make a list of the greatest match highlights to watch on youtube? I know not the same as a live game, but good to relive some big moments from the past from time to time. Wisden articles are also good to read and of course, pakpassion ;)

I have no issues with starting league if there is sufficient interest among 50-60 people.

Life has been depressing without live cricket action. Hope the situation improves and we will get live cricket action back asap.
