Making availability for Test cricket a row requisite for T20 leagues ?

I think this is an non issue. Amir was the only player who took early test retirement and based on an one off we cant place ridiculous rules that violate the rights of an employee.

Amir legally didnt do anything wrong but ethically yes as he used PCB for his own gains. And ethics violation dont count in court, it needs to be law violation.

Plus, our test side is different and not like our t20 or odi.

The only risk could be Babar Azam but i dont think babar azam will make such a decision. Babar is on the verge of attaining a status of a legendary cricketer if he continues to perform well.

Also this is where we need the right coaches that could motivate these guys. If babar ends up performing bad and mulls retirement from test(like azhar did from odi) than he needs to be motivated back.

Anyways, babr would be foolish if he makes such a decision but i doubt he will.

We all knew Amir was always greedy for money, hopefully babar azam doenst have that greed as if he continues he can get many career opportunities by making a mark in test

Unless we change the test format, best option is to simply bowl our slower fast bowlers like Abbas. They will keep themselves fit, and bowl with better accuracy and induce wickets that way.

The proper fast bowlers will get injured and outperformed by guys like Abbas on flat UAE pitches. So what's the point of playing them?

We are coming to the situation where if you're good enough to play LOI as a fast bowler, you don't want to play tests. Tests are mainly for guys who can not get into the LOI sides.

England's the only place which really suits fast bowlers these days, you can slow the ball down and make it talk. Other places are dead pitches or places you need to bowl quick to bounce sides out (which leads to injuries from the fast bowlers). Otherwise you have to bowl like Abbas, Philander and just hit good places accurately again and again to create pressure. Which is why guys like Mcgrath were so successful in the modern era.

Which is why I think test format needs changing. The current format forces a comprise of quality of players and is less marketable for the general public. The test championship is a good idea, but not enough, drastic changes need to be made.

I think the incentive to play all formats is already there after PCB's decision to demote Amir to category C.

Play all formats if you want big guaranteed money.

Make them want to play test cricket. Pay them better for playing test cricket. Have more test games so a test cricketer is actually playing all year round. Simply learn from what teams like England already do. Figure out the pitches be it in the uae or Pakistan so the games generate excitement and not just dread from fast bowlers who are most prone to avoiding the hard format

We need Ashes type series with India. That is the only way we can save Test cricket in Pakistan.
