How to score quick runs against Jasprit Bumrah without giving away wickets?

Alright folks, time has come for you put on your expert hats and come up with a solution. Jasprit Bumrah is absolutely phenomenal especially at the death. When he is around, you can almost guarantee that his overs wont concede more than 6 rpo. And if you try to attack him, his pin point yorkers at pace and variations ensure that the risk element is too much. Inevitably the batsman ends up giving away his wicket and the next batsmen begin to try and play him out. So he is either taking wickets or being economical. Win win situation for him.

So what could be done to counter him without giving away wickets? Is there any weakness of his that could be exploited? Should the batsmen have a different against him to be able to score more freely?

The question applies to every stage of the game, be it the start or death overs.

He’s been average in this World Cup for India.

Starc, Amir have been great also Mohammad Shami

Someone who is brave enough to walk down the track.

lol at average, best death bowler. Starc was bad against India but Bumrah has been good every game. Yes you could argue he has not been great in the opening overs but he is then looking to keep things tight.

Bumrah’s been average.. lol.
Turned the match around in India’s favour against Afghanistan by taking 2 wickets in one over and than that awesome 49th over.
Pulled England back when Stokes was smashing Shami all around the park, gave India a chance against England.
Great Performance against Bangladesh again.
Wasn’t too shabby in other matches either.
I wish India had one more average bowler like him.

Probably what Kohli did to Malinga couple of years back. Batsman need to convert his yorkers into big hits. Not a easy task.

Malinga came back and got em T20 making Yuvi and Dhoni lookin foolish, Kohli somewhat couldn't smack him too

Wouldn’t be able to lay a bat on it

Give us a solution rather than singing praises. We all know how good he is. Question is how to counter him especially at death. We cant just sit back and say he is just too good ro be countered.

Down the track or paddle should be tried, helicopter shot maybe.. feel batsmen arent trying to take on him

His release point so far ahead of his body makes the ball go fast and flat. He is not too tall as well. There is no chance to get underneath those. The only shots are probably ramp shots but he bowls slower Yorkers too and it could get tricky. Absolute beast in the death overs.

Are you saying that batsmen from other teams are not showing intent ? :msd

Lol I meant giving too much respect and targetting the bowler on other end.
But thsi situation might be easy for us if we got Bhuvi and Bumrah working in tandems.
Shami has improved new ball bowling and regressed with older ball.

The other thing that this point of release does is that it is very hard to judge the length, much more difficult that most other bowlers.

Imad played him quite well. He is not that great against left handed batsmen. He is in the same league as Starc, Amir, Boult and Archer. Not unplayable. Aussies will figure him out if they encounter him in semis/finals IF India reaches there.
