Pretty open ended question but religious tolerance is one aspect I suppose?

How do you scale tolerance?

I would have no problem being friends with a Qadiyani for example, but would I consider him/her to be a Muslim? Definitely, a big no.

Like wise with a homosexual, I would treat them friendly just like any other human being without approving of their acts.

Pretty tolerant, the one exception being intolerance itself of which I am unabashedly intolerant.

I am so tolerant I won't even join in outright condemnation of Donald Trump as he is the leader of the free world. Beat that.

Tolerant in many ways. Also very aggressive as well at times.

Pretty tolerant... have some Hindu Indian friends and we do discuss Indo-Pak relations in a civil manner. They are a far cry from the chest thumpers we see on here because unlike the chest thumpers they are not delusional that India is a supa powaa...

My barber is an Israeli Jew..... pretty chill with him... he was surprised to learn that on my Pakistani passport it says "This passport for all countries of the world except Israel"... he was like Pakistan and Israel don't even have a fight. AND HE WAS RIGHT...

My other interaction with Jews have been second third generation Jews in Canada but those are generally like any other white guy, agnostic and generally apolitical.

I tend to not discuss religion with people so there is less cause for intolerance.

Same :)) I have met Israelis in real life, they were equally surprised at hearing what you described. I mean Israel is an occupying force but US, UK and NATO have killed Muslims in the millions so if we can have relations with them no reason why we can't with Israel.

I think I am pretty tolerant, I have some very religious friends and family, have no problems getting along with any of them. Infact sometimes I admire how dedicated they are and how they have changed for the better.

Rest, my view is same as DW44.

I’m not tolerant of ideologies I dont agree with

But I’m very tolerant of people as you shouldnt bracket people under one category just because someone with the same name or eye colour is an idiot

i grew up very intolerant, partly due to my upbringing and partly due to my social circle.

As i got older and started working in a professional environment i began mingling with people outside of my comfort zone and started reading more books on philosophy outside of religious based texts. This rapidly changed my early intolerant beliefs.

Highly. I do what the Bible says and forgive, forgive, forgive. When people wrong me, they are just being scared and trying to protect themselves as best they can.

But Mrs Robert says I let people mug me off, particularly family.

I think other people would judge one's tolerance better than one himself.

However, If i have to answer the question i would say i am pretty tolerant towards an opposite view point even if i dont accept it or agree with it. I try to put my view forward and the reasons why i believe it. If the other guy isn't convinced, its all good with me.

Having said that, If its a deliberate attempt at insulting me with some nonsense, then i could be hard to deal with as should anyone else be.

Quite tolerant. The only thing that I find difficult to deal with is rudeness. Bad manners really hack me off and I struggle to bite my tongue when I see or hear them.

I've been too tolerant and too chickened out for most of my life, have started speaking out / speaking up much more in the past 3 years, living alone and getting a job taught me that . :yk3

Tolerant of most things except cruelty to animals ,even if kids are actively cruel to animals I cannot bear it.

Pretty intolerant of anybody who supports people who are looting ghareeb quam ka paisa... once I even got to the point of a fist fight with a mindless Noora.

Tolerance is actually an insult. Its like saying i hate you but i will tolerate you around. It should be mutual respect. And not many people have that honestly.

Not necessary. It can be just a disliking. I can dislike someones religion yet tolerate it. That makes me tolerant.

Wrong. Tolerance can also imply hatrad but you choose to remain silence. Example is of west bengal, where there are some growing cases now, where Muslims with their increasingly demographics dont show tolerance towards Hindus festivals and customs. Thats not the right thing.

Being tolerant can also be a sign of weakness in our societies and can be taken advantage of
