In the past teams had the luxury of playing against minnows, but this time all 10 sides are pretty much capable, so rotation policy will be difficult to adapt, if the backups aren't that competent.
Every team will play 9 matches in the group stage, and you can also include around 6-7 matches for each side before the tournament( warm-up games and preceding series) as well. All this adds upto around 16 games in a short span for every side.

Pakistan are lucky to have decent backups in the pace bowling department, but what would the other sides do if their bench strength isn't as good. NZ played the same team throughout the WC last time, is that going to work this time around?

Indian world cup probables should stay away from useless IPL next year. There used to be a camp and few practice matches before world cup few years ago. That was good enough for the players.

I'm scared for Pakistan. 5 ODIs in March against Australia, 5 ODIs against England one week prior to the World Cup, then 9-11 ODIs in World Cup.

Good point. The games will come quick and fast . 1 other thing is players will be coming off the IPL. At least our players can fully concentrate on the WC whilst others play in the IPL.

Need to try and make sure Hassan Ali and Amir have enough rest and their is sufficient back up for them. Also need a back up for Sarfraz . It won't be easy for him to play so many games in such quick succession. The batsmen should be fine.
