Indian pace bowlers performed brilliantly on this pitch and got a lot of praise. How would have Pakistani pacers bowled?

Is this current Indian pace attack better than ours? How will they perform on dead U.A.E pitches?

What is paks first choice of bowling attack? Not even sarfraz knows, couple of trundlers were picked in the aus/nz series never to be seen again...thats why theyr 7th.

One heck of an attack, probably at par or better than Australia's.

Gerald and Robert Craddock yesterday compared Indian bowling performance to the fearsome West Indian attack of the late 70's and 80's. They said it was the most brilliant display of pace bowling they have seen in Australia since the West Indian juggernaut.

Seriously! Is this Indian attack so brilliant and dangerous?

They bowled pretty well especially for a touring team to Australia . But the Australian batsmen in the absence of smith and warner made Indian bowling look more lethal .

More importantly, can the Pakistani bowlers score more than a grand total of 0 runs when it's their turn to bat?

Good bowlers who could do without Sarfraz's awful captaincy:

Abbas
Hasan Ali
Shaheen

Amir - however would fail with the kookaburra in hand

They look good on paper reality is theyv taken pak from no:1 to 8 got hammered in asia cup lost to nz at home.

Can’t see batsman losing sleep over this attack (on perth wicket) as none of them bowl over 150k

Let's wait for SA series to atleast find a close parallel. All matches in UAE are irrelevant for comparison due to pitches.

Indian attack is very good. A joy to watch. I will however hesitate to compare it to WI or Pak attacks of the past - because Indian attack relies more on skill and discipline than fear - which was the WI/Pak domain.

Can’t say about Holiding & Co in 1984 series but during game thread I actually mentioned that this is the best I have seen from tourists since Ambi & Bishop in 1992. Indian pacers hit the perfect length for this track and they kept their pace - don’t think PAK pacer will be remotely close to this, rather I expect them to do a Umesh job - spreeing the ball at wrong length after getting over excited looking at the carry. Only Abbas could have hit the sweet length but he is much slower. Indian bowling plan was perfect but AUS played well actually and then IND batted poor.

the indian attack is good. but it isnt better than what the opposition have.
they were out-bowled and out-batted by england in england and south africa in south africa.
in this game, again out-bowled and out-batted by their australian counterparts

Bad....Finch would have made 100 in one session...

Why am I making such comments? reason is Our pacers lack correct length to bowl in test match and on such pitches. Our Pacers are hot and cold not consistent. Ya on paper we may look good but I tell you what besides Abbas none of our pacers know what length to bowl in test cricket and on such pitches.

I am hoping they prove me wrong in SA but so far I see no hope, either our bowling coach not able to tell them about the length in test cricket or our pacers are too raw to understand that.

Two high quality bowling units against two below average batting units. So far that has been the case in this series, but Aus batted better in one inning here and won the game.

Handscomb scored a century against Pakistan so I am sure khawaja would have scored a double and Pakistan would lose by one innings. Only reason Pakistan win these days is because of Yasir shah so since he doesn't perform overseas, Pakistan will not win at all.

i rate Bumrah & Shami better than any current Pakistani pacer . They would be in your 11 if you had them .

Pakistani attack would perform similar. However one bowler I seriously envy in Indian line up is Bumrah. In Odi I rate him higher than any bowler in the world

That Shami's spell after lunch on Day 4 is one of the greatest spell of fast bowling I have ever seen. Aussie batsmen were literally scared. It would take a massive effort to surpass that spell.

Mohammad Shami, Ma sha Allah, a very fine bowler.

Definitely not better than Australia's but certainly better than India's.

Abbas > Bhumrao
Amir > Ishant
Hasan > Shami
Shaheen > Yadav

They would be but Abbas averages 16 and has yet to play many matches overseas. To say that Bumrah or Shami are better than him is just plain wrong.

Actually, I would fix this:

Abbas > Bumrah
Amir > Ishant
Hasan < Shami
Shaheen > Yadav

A combined four-man pace attack would be:

Abbas
Bumrah
Amir
Shami

We have a mental block in AUS can't do well even vs AUS C team, we got humiliated by the hobbits in our own back garden during pressure situations so that says it all really.

Good question, Pakistan attack is potentially better but this Indian attack is more experienced in Australian conditions having toured before. They were all hopeless last tour but performing better on current tour, Is it to do with below average Australian batting lineup? or more experience making them bowl better? or bit of both? who knows?

Have watched the long session wise highlights of our bowling in 1st and 2nd innings. I counted at least 50 plays and misses with half of them beaten due to bowler/pitch’s brilliance. Which is why Umesh was such a letdown. Slightly better performance from him or any other 4th bowler and we’d have won this.

Pakistan bowlers would have very well as well. Anyways, we’ll get to see them on similar pitches soon. Expecting plenty of sub-200 totals from SA.

I think Indian TEST pacers are much better than Pakistan's pacers at the moment.

Pakistan is a wild card really.

When you expect them to do well, they suck.

When no one gives them a chance, they play like world champions. CT 2017.

But with that being said, gone are the days when Pak was considered to be a great bowling lineup. Right now, they are hit or miss.

Against an ABDV-less team it is relatively easy for teams to knock them over. After their embarrassing 73 all out against Srilanka they are still trying to recover from shock. Can't play swing, can't play medium pace, can't play spin.
