I'm not daydreaming or being over optimistic, just a thought. Suppose Pakistan wins the CT - how do you think this would affect their cricket? The seniority culture? Fans? Would it possibly lead to more positive things like maybe the return of cricket to Pakistan (even though that doesn't have a link to anything). How would it affect our rankings? And most importantly, do you think Pakistan will realise the importance of modern day cricket? Discuss

All this is hypothetical and yes, I realise we are yet to qualify for even the semis.

Nothing will happen. We won the WT20 in 2009 and we thought it was the start of something special, but then we went to SL and got battered. Things went downhill both on and off the field, and our decline in T20Is was quite steep.

If we win the CT, it will be a one-off affair; nothing will change. It will only prolong the careers of the deadwood in the squad.

nothing gonna change. Infect Senior players will be part of the team if we won. If we loss then senior will be dropped.

Wish, that doesn't ensure PAK's average age for 2019 WC squad reaches 35........

We should hope that Azhar and Hafeez don't play a big part in the victory otherwise they will be locked in till 2019.

The seniors and useless Shehzad/Azhar will stay in the team.

More seniors like Umar Gul will be recalled.

Nothing will happen - we will continue to remain mediocre with an odd flash of brilliance.

Major systemic changes at the grassroot level is required to fix our cricket and winning a tournament will not change that.

If we win the champions trophy. Our cricket will become better. All them youngsters watching there team win a global tornement will be inspired and our cricket will last longer, say when the Babar Azam generation leave and retire if we haven't won anything there will be no more players coming up because they haven't been inspired after that our cricket will last a max of 20 years then it's all over.We need to try to win a few tournaments or atleast do well in a tournament.

You guys look at a short period of time but if we win this our cricket will be given an extra 30 years life

It seems as though not winning this Champions Trophy would better for the long term and the greater good going by all of your opinions.

However, I firmly believe that regardless of how badly or how good we do in the tournament, the TTF's will forever be part of the team in one way or another. That is the sad reality and just how things are. Corruption will remain no matter what.

At this stage regardless of the result of tomorrow's game all seniors will be part of the team. Had we exit in first round they all had been dropped from the team. Now no chance whether we win or loss tomorrow.
