I don't want our players to go back to the era of being good boys and what not but frankly, such statements are downright embarrassing and what makes it even worse is that you have nothing to back it up with. An average of 43 and an economy of almost 7 since his comeback is all that we have of Junaid, unless he still thinks something that happened half a decade ago is considered.

Kohli is a big match player and he thrives in pressure situations. These sort of statements will only make it worse for Pakistan because Kohli is like a fast bowler, the angrier, the better he is.

There was no new media when Wasim and Waqar played .. no comparison there

Nothing wrong with Junaid trash talking a little, just needs to back it up

Duels are considered seriously when both batsman and bowler have achieved relatively equally. Mcgrath vs Lara, Warne vs Sachin etc. Kohli is ranked No.5 in tests. No. 3 in ODIs, No.1 in T20s. Junaid is not ranked in Tests (outside 100), ranked 64 in the ODi, Not ranked in T20. They are not even in the same planet in terms of reputation. It is a bit like Gavin Larsen bigging himself up against Tendulkar at Tendulkar's peak.

Well, if Pakistan lose tomorrow, he can always claim like Akhtar how he wanted to and could have made a difference if selected.
