"I would like to thank almighty Allah for all the success I had throughout my career. Specially the end, I couldn't have asked for something better."

"I'd like to thank my family, my mother, my sisters and specially my wife Uzma who supported me a lot and was always there for me. This series was only for her. I could have finished in Australia. She convinced me and the fans to return. Most of the players just said no, you don't have to end it like that. You have to go out on a winning note and by performing well."

"My son isn't here. He'll be watching on the TV. I am missing him. He has his exams so he couldn't travel with us."

"Thanks a lot to everyone throughout my career. All the coaching staffs, managers, trainers, doctors, colleagues, teammates, class-fellows, teachers who really supported me throughout my career and prayed for me, thanks a lot. Fans overall, throughout the world. It's not just in Pakistan but even here in West Indies, all the guys have been coming to me, wishing me all the best in the rest of my life."

"This is life, everything but Almighty Allah has to come to an end. Whether it's bad, or good."

"I'm happy with what I had in this career. What a finish, I couldn't have asked for more than that. Really happy for this team, all the guys here specially for the way they gave me and Younis a send-off."

"Special thanks to Younis, wish him the very best of luck in his future life. It was a very fine journey with him, specially in the middle. We shared in a lot of partnerships and I loved every moment of that. In the history books, my name will come with his and he's a legend, a top performer for Pakistan with 34 centuries, 10000 runs and he broke a lot of records. 15 hundred+ partnerships with him, so it's something really special for me, that my name will come along with his in history."

"Thanks to everyone. I really enjoyed my career."

"When the game ends an over before, it's difficult. Both the teams were under pressure and it's just a matter of nerves. Finally, we just managed to win it. The bowlers bowled their heart out on a slow track, specially the seamers. Yasir came back for all the spells like that and they just believed in themselves that we're gonna make it, we need it badly. It was the first-ever win for Pakistan in West Indies so everyone was really motivated and they were working hard for myself and Younis also."

"There were a lot of frustrations, no-ball, out and then a couple of chances here and there but at the end, I think you enjoy wins like that much more than a straightforward win."

Congratulations to yunis and Misbah for what has been an amazing career!

I'm dearly going to miss this legend. I was weeping as this man was giving his farewell speech. Thank you Misbah for all of your services to Pakistan cricket.

I never understood why misbah never talks about his father

He mentioned everyone in his speech, his sisters and all.

I have been watching cricket since 2010 and since then Pakistan cricket has been all about misbah and younis Khan. So I'm gonna miss them a lot.

:salute

A really good speech,very emotional.

It's one ball,it's one wicket, it's one victory but it was massive to end a great career in a brilliant way.

That was a humble speech. Niceeee.
He gave credit and thanked almost everybody who helped him in his career and tried no to leave anyone out.

Passed away when he was 9 I believe . . or maybe even younger . . Misbah's life story is quite inspiring . . .

Pak will miss both of these boys terribly. Don't know how we're gonna replace them. The middle order looks to vulnerable without them.

His father died when he was young he was raised by single mother. I had the pleasure of having dinner with Misbah, his maternal uncle and mother. I'm not a fan of Misbah but have to say he's very down to earth and what one would call a shareef insaan.

His father (may Allah give him Jannah) passed away when he was in Grade 9.

His mother has definitely done a great job raising him. Respect to her.
