Wasim Akram speaking to the media

"I dont know why people are against Ahmed Shehzad"

"He's still young and playing good cricket, and if his form is off a little then I have no problem with that"

"An All-rounder has 2 weapons (bowling/batting), if one is removed then that has an effect"

"I would say that Mohammad Hafeez should concentrate on his batting and also try and fix his action"

The Multan Sultan connection coming into play here....

I don't know why You can't see the reason people are against him and what prompted you to say "I don't know".

"He's playing good cricket..." If he is, he's certainly not been playing it for Pakistan.

I would be livid if he is selected for ODIs series against New Zealand

Wasim shall find out that form is not the only issue with Shehzad

Wasim only makes sense when people want him to i suppose

I think the hate is justified. Shehzad has been living off the 'talent' tag for far too long. I think he took Razzaq's Sachin comment too seriously.

Wasim bhai, maybe you can turn it around for him.... he is under your wings now :))

As I predicted, selfie will perform in the psl and be called back and then fail again in international. His comeback is inevitable and the cycle will repeat again.

His good cricket eliminate him from test then from ODI and now he is on the verge of T20 elimination. He plays test match in a T20 match.

Well you never know.Just like Rohit 'Talented' Sharma's luck changed after first few years in International cricket. It could happen with Shehzad too.

Shehzad is history now...

His presence demoralizes the other opening batsman.

We already have Fakhar,Imam plus young Sami and Farhan are doing pretty good too.Sharjeel will also be available later on.

Please no more Shehzad. He reminds me of the Misbah era

Multan sultans talk. If his form is off can’t sit in the National team and be the cause for losing. Can iron out his technical issues, concentrate on his batting like u said for hafeez , get the form back in domestics and then make come back.

Didn’t u see him making 0(12) in the first ODI against SRL. The players who ever has replaced him across formats has played 10 times better than him so far. Shehzads replacement was the reason u beat India by 180 runs margin and win the first ever CT cup.

People are against him because he isn't performing. I hope he takes this aggression and positive mindset into the international stage if he plays again.

Because he is moh ka fire... with very little action on the ground.

Because he’s bad and a domestic bully.Fails on the international stage, especially when it counts most.

Don’t even rate his innings today. Just showed how much of a domestic bully he is

Lets be honest, people like Shehzad (his personality, charisma whatever it is) exist in a vaccum. The vaccum exists in the form of our batting lineup, its primitive, obsolete. We have FZ and Azhar as our premier opener. As long as no one competely occupies that vaccum completely like Babar Azam has at the no.3 spot, like Malik has the no.5 spot, his name will keep coming up.

Wasim is undermining himself by giving statements like this. Anyone who has followed Pak cricket in the last few years will know how bad Shehzad has been. He is a curse for us, needs to be dropped for good.

Wasim isn't a good cricket pundit. His analysis during commentary shows that he's still stuck in the 90s. Won't be surprised if he's aware of Shezzy's performances and still genuinely thinks that he's a good player.

These former cricketers don’t seem to know anything about modern Pakistan cricket.
