Wahab Riaz, speaking to media, asking PCB to call him to the camp:

"Right now I have no intention of saying goodbye to cricket. I am focusing on my future endeavors. I am training hard and bowling regularly to be in rhythm"

"I would like to request PCB to call me in the training camp. It will help me practice my bowling in a better way. Bowling for even half an hour in the camp would help me a lot,"

Surely he's not using his position in the Punjab Govt to pressurize the PCB, is he?

Pakistan is desperate for pace bowlers in the test format, if I had to bring him back it would be for that format only.

Is he still playing? I thought he retired.

Pakistan now have better options.

I was thinking the same thing as he could be a nice addition to Naseem and Shaheen for the Australia tour but just taking a look at his stats, the last FC game he played was back in 2018 so that might be a bit of a problem.

Well now he's openly involved in the politics, he is no better than other politicians and that should be enough to make a conflict of interest case to have him doing two jobs at once. Apart from that, he is well past (whatever his best was) his best.

Asian cricketers rarely say goodbye to cricket :)
