What's new

"I have the goal of becoming Pakistan’s best all-rounder in future" : Aamer Yamin

Doesn't possess much threat beyond the new ball. A 6th bowler.

I knew from day one his bowling was too gentle, but the thing is was that he was undeservingly dropped from the ODI side when he performed well with the bat.

PCB drops this kid from ODI and then people complain that Pakistan doesn't have any power hitters. He can obviously hit the ball.

He's a shot-maker not a power-hitter. You can't bank on him to muscle the ball every time. I'd be tempted to open with him. Technically, he's quite sound.

Bowling at TTF's is hardly a achievement. He prob good for Pak standards though.

Partially agree but I think his Bowling is not good enough at this time for International Level

And finally this man is selected and that too against World XI... time to prove ua worth YAMIN.

Useless considering Fahim was already there. I would have had him in Tests.

Looking forward to see what he will do. If he has a good series could potentially play against West Indies and Sri Lanka

Very good from him. Heartbreaking he missed his century, though. Seems like the Pakistan call up has motivated him as we need someone like him in our test team.

Absolutely phenomenal stuff from him to start this season.

He is quite possibily a better odi batsman than imam ul haq even if we disregard his handy new ball bowling

Is clearly motivated by the fact that he is close to selection again, having been ignored for too long by Pakistan.

Great to see- hope to see him in Pakistan colours soon.

What a beast! Hope he gets selected for the NZ LOI tour coming up along with Raza Hasan. The LOI team is shaping up nicely! @Mamoom was spot on when he said he expects us to be in the top 3 for LOI and 5-6 in Tests in the upcoming years.

He was in the T20I squad for the World XI series but just didn't make the 11 in any of the matches so he's not far from the ODI side either, conditions suit him more in NZ so he could very well find himself on that plane if he keeps up the hard work!

A case for Aamir Yamin

A left and right combination is always gold either its batting or bowling. From todays match it is now obvious that we were not good enough in the opening overs. As for as I know Amir yamin is pretty decent as a new ball bowler also he will give us that left and right bowling combination at the start. He can surely give us 5+2+1 overs spell and can't be worse then Ruman raees. To be honest he will strengthen our batting a lot as we will have batting till 10 and in situations like today he would have been realy handy down the order or or coming in as pinch hitter.

If Yamin and Harris don't play next match I'll not watch it, the series is already done and dusted. Today morning also I waited for their announcement but stayed on thinking Sarfaraz mite improve the bowling in this match which he did but again seniors are on a missio. Can't bear watching Malik and Hafeez in New Zealand again. Did'nt know Arthur can be so stupid and fearful, that he can't remove them from the team. Seniors misfield, drop catches, bowl miserably, their batting has lead us to a series loss and capitulating on score of total 16 [my word..] still they are too infallible or politically connected.
Than viewers and Pakistan fans should take the honorable exit out and rather not watch. Let Sarfaraz and Arthur jeopardise their own future.

Shoab Malik failed miserably, so Yameen deserves chance, While Sarfraz should come at No.3

Drop hafeez, bring Haris Sohail for the rest of the two matches.

But I think the myth of "seniors" is still there and Hafeez & Malik won't be dropped.

Good batsman but an average bowler after new ball loses shine.
