Former Pakistan cricket captain Javed Miandad has demanded the execution of cricketers and bookies involved in fixing, saying that he quit coaching in 1999 due to indications of match-fixing in the team.

Talking to media, former great batsman Javed Miandad said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should make a law and execute the players involved in fixing and execute the players as well as the bookies.

This "verbal diarrhoea" needs to stop immediately. The PCB needs to employ it's legal department in sending defamation notices to all these uneducated ex-cricketers who are doing this just for the sake of YouTube views which will in turn results in $$ without even considering its negative impact on the image and reputation of PCB which is trying extremely hard to get cricket back to Pakistan.

If this slandering doesn't stop it will the chances of ACB and/or ECB touring Pakistan in near future as well as it will impact the broadcasting rights deal which will be expiring next year. Why would any organisation sponsor a board trying to cover up any fixers/ criminals? (Not my opinion).

Shoaib Akhtar's YouTube channel into a nightmare for the PCB. His way of getting views by demeaning his own board, critising and bad mouthing his ex colleagues, praising anything remotely associated with the BCCI , constant narcissism, playing victimhood has turned into a working BLUEPRINT for these JOBLESS Pakistani cricketers running their own YouTube channel.

Every youtuber now knows that they can get views by critising the PCB and simultaneously praising the BCCI. People want to make the most of the fixing saga by making a video or giving a statement on this hot trending topic (just like Danish Kaneria came up with his minority card on YouTube after Shoaib's statement), but if they are asked to give proofs or asked to record a statement in a court of law no one would turn up just like what had happened in the past.

Observation:-
Pakistan cricket's perennial problem illiteracy among the cricketers strikes back again. When they are a part of the same team they would constantly try to put each other down, now they are repeating the same thing in a more open manner. These illiterate blokes have got a magic lamp (YouTube) but cannot properly use it, I don't find a single meaningful videos related to motivation, cricketing ethics, techniques and fault on their channel all they know is jealousy, hatered and it shows.

They talk about PCB not employing them for their services, my question is are they employable at all? What qualities do they have apart form runs scored and wickets taken, NONE! No professional organisation will hire any employee just need on their core technical skills, they need a lot more attributes along with core skills, heck, now a days private organisations have started taking Psychometric test along with skill based interviews. Will any Pakistani ex cricketer clear a Psychometric test, or the bigger question is any Pakistani cricketer even aware of what a Psychometric test is?

He never had any proofs at the first place. And lot of crickets from past, the players who he coached never had anything positive to say about him. Even Waqar Younis had players who like him but never for Miandad. Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi hated this guy to the core. Wasim Akram never mentions him whereas Imran Khan is the one who gets the most respect among his contemporaries.

The reason that these fixing headlines make lot of news is that there is lot of sensationalism added to it. Look at the Youtube channels of every Pakistani cricketer, it is either about India, or how they have exposed the fixing racket in Pakistani cricket.
Just goes to show the attention span of our people. We are swooned by catchy headlines and pomposity rather than accepting that we are mediocre.

Well it seems strange Javed is demanding fixers be "hanged" for their offences and that he resigned to take a stand on corruption, but had no qualms about returning to coach those same tainted players.

Actually, Javed cited in his resignation letter he had "pressing family commitments". The contemporary reports also state Javed had a bustup with senior players after the 1999 Sharjah match v England.

In addition, it was reported:

"Fixing Iss Vajah Se Hui Thi": Javed Miandad's Huge Revelation On Pakistan Cricket

Pakistan lost to England by 5 wickets in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday. While speaking after the game, former Pakistan skipper Javed Miandad questioned the presence of foreign coaches in the team. Miandad, who has also served as the coach of the Pakistan cricket team in the past, said that bringing foreign mentors or coaches in the team takes away the opportunity of former players to be a part of the national set-up.

He even went on to say that this mindset of Pakistan team management makes the future of their players insecure and that the same issue resulted in "fixing" in the past.

"Apne logon ko dekhein, apne logon ne jo cricket kheli hai... Ye jo players khel rahe hain, ab ye aaj khel rahe hain. Inka future kya hai? Unko bhi pata hai ki aaj maine kuch nahi kiya, toh kal main kya karunga? Fixing iss vajah se hui thi, ke hamara koi pata nahi hai, ki kal kaat naa de humko," said Javed Miandad on Cricket Pakistan.

Talking about the T20 World Cup final, Ben Stokes scored an unbeaten 52 off 49 balls to guide England to a 5-wicket win over Pakistan. Haris Rauf's 2 for 23 went in vain as England successfully chased down the 138-run target at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Earlier, Sam Curran returned with a spell of 3 for 12 and Adil Rashid picked 2 for 22 as England restricted Pakistan to 137 for 8. England skipper Jos Buttler had won the toss and opted to bowl first in the game.
