Still a few good years and ultimately still the most superior pure wicket keeper in the country.

Yeah no **** he lost 7 matches in a row and has lost 16 from his last 17!! Plus 5 when he was Pakistan captain too!!

He’s dented the careers of at least 2 potential opening talents for Pakistan and was very close to ruining a 3rd player in Masood but that kid luckily held his own!

also came out and said that he was acting like a nightwatchman for Yasir Khan who can’t play the early swinging ball! So now his opening position is also questionable forever because Rizwan thinks he can handle swing better than Yasir can!

One thing you have to give him, Rizzu understands the local media system well. Knows what to say and how to say it(in Urdu/Pashto). Does the performative stuff off the field as well(speeches at the gatherings). Good survival instincts for his local envs.

ive banged on about it for ages, for those of us old enough to have lived through moin khan, kamran akmal, and even sarfu, rizwan is a god send in red ball cricket behind the stumps. unfortuantely the red ball format isnt given the respect or exposure it needs to thrive in pak. aus, eng, sa, nz, ind, rizzu would be a undisputed generational goat contender, but the fact that hes a rubbish white ball opener means his entire legacy is defined by the trait whicih was never his primary strength.

im not saying this is fans fault, its his because he loves attention and politics which compounds issues, and the PCBs for just not playing enough tests for him to make a career out of that.

He is absolutely spotless behind the stumps and regularly makes important contributions with the bat when the team is stuck in a tricky position. Even if you are Rizwan's harshest critic, this is something you should be able to admit as an objective cricket fan. I am even willing to give him a chance in ODI cricket, eventhough he has been off-color as an ODI batsman for quite some time now.

Anyone who has followed Pakistan's test cricket during the careers of Kamran Akmal and Sarfraz Ahmed knows what a Godsend Rizwan is behind the stumps. Even if he makes ZERO runs with the bat I will select him purely based on his ability as a wicketkeeper. You CANNNOT quantity the impact a wicketkeeper's dropped catches make on the end-result of a test match. Heck, I have seen seen Kamran Akmal and Sarfraz Ahmed throw away test matches for us just because of their lazy and shoddy glovework.

So why not focus on that? Why not focus on being the best in areas where you actually have something to offer? Instead you decide to insult our intelligence by making us think you have ANY SKILL WHATSOVER as a T20 batsman.
