Mohammad Amir speaking after the match:

"My role with the new ball as a strike bowler is to take wickets and put pressure on the opposition and that's what happened"

"The pitch was great for batting which is why 200 runs were made on it but when you bowled full, you got help from the pitch"

"I would like to give credit to the selectors and team management for helping the team gel, and also gave a chance to the youngsters; the team has momentum now and the boys have been playing together for a while and the confidence is increasing"

"It feels great to play in Pakistan, just like I felt when I played PSL game in Lahore; This is the first time I have played an international game in Karachi and I would like to thank the people of Karachi for their support"

Bowled well today. If he considers himself a strike bowler then he needs to be consistently taking wickets. Hopefully, now that we have a good bench strength he will work harder.

He is world class in T20. Even if he doesn’t pick up a wicket he is watertight.

Not yet. He was out bowled by his teammate Shinwari in PSL. Was not even in the top five in terms of wicket takers.

Bro don’t mix PSL with internationals. He was man of the series in NZ.

You said T20 not T20I. In that case shouldn't it be easier for him in PSL? I'm sure Karachi didn't pick him so he can give them mediocre performance and not be his world class self. Consistency is the problem with Amir but he can improve.

He is a guy who when gives his best is an absolute beast.
In T20s he is a million bucks. He can do any role successfully, be it opening the bowling, bowling at death, or the middle overs. A vital cog in our lineup.
