Not sure how many of you watch 'Game on Hai' on Ptv sports, but Dr Nauman has somehow got the 3 people in the title as pundits in his how for the Champions Trophy.

On the one hand I think it's great these guys are willing to come to Pakistan. On the other, I think the public money spent could have been much better utilised some place else.

What are your guys thoughts?

There will always be better ways to spend money. PTV Sports did the right thing by inviting credible figures.

Great news. The return of cricket in Pakistan is inevitable, if not imminent. Absolute ATG's and Legends that feature every single XI in the world in Pakistan definitely poses a good image. To add to that, Chappell, despite having his fair share of haters is regarded as an analyst of very high caliber.

I might be wrong but I think that PTV SPORTS generates huge money through Advertisements. That is not Public Money.

Symonds,Damien Martyn,Ajay Jadeja,Gibbs,Rhodes and many others have been guest analysts for PTV Sports.

Unfortunately the insufferable Nauman Niaz hosts the show.Always interrupts his guests and shows off his knowledge about statistics etc.

You might not be aware that Dr sahib is Son of a retired Genera and he has many family members serving in Pakistan Army. Gov wasn't happy with him and He was suspended aswell but He made a return through Pawaa.


So. Who is allowing him all this ? I don't think information ministry will be happy if he spends huge chunk of public money to bring these Pundits.


Ptv Sports has copy rights to show most Sports Events on Tv in Pakistan. Do they earn nothing ? When they have huge viewership ? So many advertisements of Giant brands all for nothing ?


I think they are self sufficient and generate huge amount of Money otherwise this would never have been possible.

While I do think PTV Sports is run as a personal fiefdom of the good doctor's, Chappell is an all-time hero of mine so can't complain much. Lara and Richards have been good value too.

I do suspect that this is being funded through handouts from somewhere or other.

Ads earn them peanuts - as compared to their spending.

There are many news articles on it - they report huge financial losses, and major source of earning is the mandatory tv fees in electricity bills.

I have heard it's costing them quite a few rupees each time they invite the foreign analysts. They are put up at the Marriot near the Islamabad PTV studios, ferried back and forth from the hotel in private taxis, given five star treatment, not to mention a substantial fee for coming to Pakistan and working at the channel.

Even Nauman, has admitted they are trying their best to bring international cricket back to Pakistan and by getting as many big names from all over the world to appear on PTV sports it sends out the message that it's safe to visit.

i think u r wrong.... they hav broadcasting rights for almost every cricket game... they even show BBL and all Aus and SA matches.... they always have best experts even for domestic matches.....
they hav wasim akram saqlain and akhtar as experts for Pak matches while other channels hav just lifetime contract with SIKANDAR BHAKT and MOYO
they have a contract with ICC to broadcast ICC events...
THERE is no way u do all of this without profits......
they hav a good amount of advertisements on their channel

being a govt ORGANISATION doesnt always mean dat u wont make profits...
If they are in LOSS than it is a big shock for me..... it can only be a scandal as to why they arent earning profits

He knows stats ver well, that is good but he sort of overuses them.... remember last year he crooked MCgrath with stats and McGrath just nodding his head

I usually hate Dr. Nauman Niaz and don't get me wrong, I still do. He's not an analyst and tries to show off his fake accent and knowledge of statistics too much but in glad he's focussing on primarily the guests today! Hope he continues wit shutting up and letting the guests talk about these folks are legends.

I hated the program when it was in half Urdu and English. It was pain for the foreign analysts to understand what the heck our "analysts" were talking about and Nauman Niaz gave stupid translations and spent half the time doing that. Everything was simply all over the place. Either have it in English or Urdu. I really like this English version BRCAUSE YOIRE getting something different from the likes of Rashid Latif, Mohammad Wasim ..
