If the chase is reduced to 30 overs, the target will be 229 which is really good for Pakistan considering that the required runnrate is already almost 7

no way Pak chase full total. But like Ramiz said, they can end up forward on DL if they don't lose wickets.
Aren't we behind the eight ball on D/L method?I hope we can jammy a win via D/L method.
Oh how times change.
Yes InshaAllah. We need to be 0-104 after 20 overs wrt DL.
0-104

Pakistan can win this easily.. D/L par score after 20 over is 84/0 or 94/1 or 105/2. Keeping the wickets intact and running singles will win the match
What about if we're 1 down?
How did you calculate it?
How much longer that rain have to persist for the match to be called off?
Let's see how many overs we've lost. I'm guessing it'll be 3
Around 45 mins-1 hour is my guess.
Rain will help Pakistan been saying this since morning, Pakistan can win now
IA it will rain for the next 2 hours non-stop
That is a big IF. My question is that if Pak somehow finds a way to beat Ind with D/L, why could they not do so with full 48 overs?
DWL never helps in revise targets - it only helps in the match is stopped at mid point for good.
If PAK comes back for a short target,it'll be like 150 in 15/16 overs; but if it ends like PAK 120/1 after 20.2 overs, they steal a win. This is one flaw in DWL - I was surprised that in 2003 WC final, IND was actually winning at first break (around 150/2 in 23 or so overs, chasing 360).
But, I doubt if we get any game today - BBC weather is showing absolute down pour on Wolverhampton (north west of Birmingham) & in 4 hours time even heavier rain on North East - entire heavy cloud should pass over Edgbaston.
What happened to we will thrash India ?
Play it out now and see your team win or lose fairly.

They were 147/4 so weren't winning. But I agree with the rest.
The rain is not helping Pak too much here.Wonder whether they are thinking of chasing the target or just to stay ahead of the DL par score.
Please stop rain... Pleaaaasee
Don't think, we'll get a game today![]()
Imagine if we can sneak away with a point here. 1992 all over again.![]()
We would have been only chasing 280-290 if we had Junaid istead of Wahab and Amir had bowled his 2 remaining overs.
