I am not sure i find a single Bangladesh batsman in the top in since 2000 at the year beginning. May be they reached top 10 somewhere in the middle of the year.

How is AB de Villiers no.1 in test ranking in 2014 and 2015? I thought he was a nobody in test cricket bar the two series in 2018.

Very interesting to see how Inzi was in the top 5 or nearby for 5 years. Sanga just left cricket too early, he would definitely have been in the top 10 for a few more years.

4 from India have been in the top spot and none from Pakistan. Hope we get one there soon. Yousuf only got close once but he was against a rampaging Ponting that year.

I think I counted Sangakarra being in the top 10 for 11 years. Great great batsman. And he has retired when he was in the form of his life in all formats. True legend of the game.

Surprising to see Kohli in the top 10 list only from jan 1, 17 and people call him the best player of the decade...

Kohli on current form is better than Smith as far as ICC rankings are concerned.
