The upcoming 36th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is set to be an exciting encounter between Pakistan and Ireland12. This match will take place on Sunday, 16 June 2024 at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida

It will be a do-or-die game for Pakistan because they have to win this game by a good margin and then hope that Ireland will defeat USA in thiet clash so they can go ahead in the super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Pakistan would be hoping that the USA loses to Ireland but if rain spoils the party then it will be one heck of a situation.

Yeah, we've been looking at the weather and stuff, but we don't really want to focus on it too much. At the end of the day whatever God wants, that's going to happen. So, we just want to play one game at a time. Right now, we are focused on playing India tomorrow, and then whatever happens after that and then we'll deal with it.
 
These matches should be relocated to New York especially in light of the Flood warnings. Its not fair on the spectators to have games washed out due to rain. It also causes credibility issues for the game.
 
Rain might play a spoilsport in this game. But what if:

This game gets washed out and USA vs Ireland also washed out. NRR is good enoughto go ahead??? I don't think so.

If any game involving pak or usa gets rained out. Usa progresses.

The qualification scenario requires Pakistan to get maximum points - no less and USA to not get any points at all. After that NRR will determine.

That would put Pakistan at 3 points only? Lol usa would have 5

no!

Because Pakistan would have only 3 points while the USA would have 5.... so any 1 washout and pakistan is out of the race.

Go with the same squad vs Canada! Don’t include Chacha! It should be a win! But yes since Pakistan have dragged Chacha now it will be raining…

The Pakistan cricket team will not hold a practice session today in Florida due to a wet outfield. However, the team will attend a light physical training session.
 
It's too much to ask from weather, two games should commence and both results go our away, weather isn't SA or Netherlands, case closed, good riddance
 
I expect Pakistan to win comfortably.

Ireland lost to Canada. They seem out of form.
 
As there is a known weather situation there, can't the matches be shifted to another venue? Considering this is a WC.

This match isnt happening.

Or USA vs Ireland for that matter.

Pakistan already played its last game vs Canada in this World Cup

That is the whole point, this is a WC, so it cannot be shifted, as things are planned much ahead of time, if this was a bi-lateral series even then it would have been a long shot to shift it to a different venue.
 
Pakistan is out of this world cup now because the weather is gonna spoil the party for them. Good luck USA

They should stay... You don't have any better wicket keeper than rizwan and number 3 batsman. The actual problems are azam khan, iftikhaar, shadab, shaheen( not fully fit). They should be drop.
 
Announce the sacking of Babar before the game and let the new captain take over for this game.

Be ruthless and send out a clear message.
 
So not only is Pak out, they have an additional shame of having to go through qualifiers for the next WC.

This is good news actually. RizBar liars cannot lie about having to keep the same team/core to ensure safe qualification
 
Asif ali is more deserving than this iftikhaar.... Atleast he can hit long when the ball is in his range.. Not like iftikhaar who can't hit full toss ball... Just a waste and lazy cricketer.

Rizwan is much upgrade version of your past wicket keepers.... We saw kamran akmal, umar akmal(failed experiment as a wicket keeper), Sarfaraz (past his prime long ago), haris(in consistent), Azam khan(joke).

Ireland vs USA: The game has been called off .That's it, folks.
Ireland and Pakistan have officially been eliminated and join NZ and SL as team out of tournament.
The US join India in the Super 8s. USA also qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Our players are mentally weak. Now that they are out of the tournament they will play fearless cricket. They also know that a defeat here will be even tougher going home after it.
 
As per reports, Abrar Ahmed and Abbas Afridi are likely to get an opportunity in the dead rubber clash against Ireland.
