The next edition of the T20 World Cup will begin on February 7, with the 20-team tournament to run all the way up until the final on March 8.

The 10th edition of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will start on February 7, 2026, with a total of six sides in action on the opening day, including the title-holders India.

They will take on USA in Mumbai as they set out to become the first team to defend their Men’s T20 World Cup crown.

The 20-team tournament will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka across 29 days and eight venues (five in India and three in Sri Lanka).

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (New Delhi), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), Eden Gardens (Kolkata) R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground (Colombo) and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy) round out the full list of host venues.

A total of 40 group matches will be played between February 7-20, with the top two sides from each group then progressing to the Super Eights phase of the tournament that commences on February 21.

The top four sides at the completion of the Super Eights qualify for the knockout stages of the event, with semi-finals to be held in Kolkata/Colombo and Mumbai ahead of the title decider on March 8 in Ahmedabad/Colombo.

In Group A, besides USA, India are also drawn alongside Pakistan and will take on their arch-rival in Colombo on February 15. Netherlands and Namibia are the other teams in the group.

Sri Lanka are one of five sides in Group B along with 2021 winners Australia, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Oman.

Group C consists of a pair of two-time champions in England and West Indies, as well as first-timers Italy and Asian sides Bangladesh and Nepal.

New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, Canada and UAE make up Group D.

T20 World Cup Groups:

Group A:
India, USA, Namibia, Netherlands, Pakistan
Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal
Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE
Speaking on the announcement, ICC Chairman Jay Shah said: “It is wonderful to welcome the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup back to the subcontinent so soon after a groundbreaking Women’s Cricket World Cup. The passion for cricket in this region is unmatched, and fans have been waiting eagerly for another global spectacle.

"The announcement of the fixtures brings us a step closer, and I have no doubt that the five venues in India and three in Sri Lanka will be alive with energy throughout the tournament."

ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta added: "The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is expected to usher in a new era of global, marquee Cricketing events, both in terms of the athletic spectacle and fan experiences on offer. We have seen six different champions in less than two decades of the tournament’s history, which demonstrates the competitive nature of the competition.

"With 20 teams from 5 continents vying for the title in Cricket’s most unpredictable format and the tournament returning after a decade to its biggest market, this promises to be a feast for Cricket fans around the world."

Pakistan vs USA game should be happening in Premadasa, Colombo. Not SSC, Colombo.

I hope someone from PCB take notice of this and request this change.

Pakistan has to play in Premadasa before they play India in that venue. This will give Pakistan the much needed advantage of having played in the same venue as the match that will be played against India.

Fair chance to both teams,

@Rana jitna preparation karni hai kar lo , jisko khilana hai usko khilao but we will win the match against your tullebaaz with one sided contest. :klopp :kp

Group D looks interesting.

Are they going to do that stupid group-fixing again for the Super 8s? Where first round positions don't matter at all and the group has already been decided beforehand so we can get India v Australia

Oh great the 15th of Feb is my youngest daughter birthday she will turn 1 years old, better not to watch the match and just celebrate her bday haha :) Good luck to Pakistan :)

It doesn't look good for New Zealand. I think Afghanistan and South Africa will progress from this group.

Group-C
The group where which second team will go through with England will be the focus. WI-Ban-Nepal.

Remember Nepal defeated WI in recent T20 series.

Question - If India Qualify for 2026 T20 WC Final, which team you want India face in final?

Rohit Sharma - "Surya said with Heavy heart Australia & beating them in final in same stadium is going to be special. But for me India playing final & coming out at the Top, that's most important for me .

Afghanistan v New Zealand in Chennai is going to be spicy. That will probably decide who is moving on to the next round. I wouldn't count out NZ though.

Suryakumar Yadav during the announcement of the T20 World Cup schedule:

“The group looks good. Quite decent. We’re playing at good venues, Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. then you talk about the game on the 15th (vs Pakistan). We played them recently and we had a good time. Everything was completely focussed on cricket and nothing else as you must have seen. But yeah, I’m sure it will be a good game. The boys are always excited to have an India-Pakistan game. They have a good time when they go on the ground,”

ICC SEEDING FOR SUPER 8

X Group - India, Australia, West Indies, South Africa.

Y Group - England, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.

Super 8 se real world cup start hoga, but it’s a good opportunity for associate teams.

Yeah an India v Australia match at Ahmedabad is a fix with India v South Africa & India v West Indies.

Super 8's

India Australia South Africa West Indies
England New Zealand Pakistan Sri Lanka

India group is very easy , we are placed along with four minnow team - Pakistan, USA, NED and Namibia :klopp :kp

I just want us to beat the living daylights out of the USA team and make them limp back to the airport.

No way is this mediocre team challenging for the title unfortunately, specially if we continue with the suicidal plan of playing Babar and Salman together.

Yes ,but this is only dream for Pakistan. They will not qualified for The Final .

Final will be held in Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad.

What if we do? You had earlier said in one of the posts, something like, that you believe 100% in all of the Indian teams (which potentially and logically cover India A too) but what happened after so much of overconfidence? A nice thrashing.

Then some of your mates started naming India A as India C or D.

No you don't, #Sochnabhimat. :klopp :kp

Really good to see associates are inducted in.

Want to see atleast 1 upset like we had last year USA vs Pak

T20 format will be getting stronger and stronger among associates.

Namibia, netherlands and USA teams will have hard time travelling between Srilanka and India

If Pakistan go through,

What will be the dates of their Super 8s and most likely opponent+venue?

Venue for Pak team from league to Super 8 + Semis + Finals (should they qualify) will be in SL

- Colombo(in one of the half a dozen stadiums there :) ) or Kandy(for the odd league match).

Rest -depending on other game results - off course.

Seeing India's performance in last night's game against saffers, I would like to say that if there is no abhishek score from top, there is no party for them... India is relying too much on him.

So after yesterday performance ,now you're confident that Pakistan will defeat India? :klopp :kp

I need to book tickets for super 8s+semi and set itinerary

You are an ignorant guy, brother..

Read what I wrote again.. and use Google Translate if you are having any difficulty understanding it.
Yes, I've read it. Now tell me, can your Tullebaaz team beat India or not? You can take the advice from @Rana Also.

Bro - bit hard to predict venues for where a specific team will play in super 8's + semi given we are a few months away. all i could say is schedules and venues are already announced for whole tournament from league stage to super 8's + semi + finals and if your team goes through to the finals it would have played all its match in SL either colombo or Kandy

Pakistan might go to Super 8s at best. Our team will struggle against quality spinners in sri lanka.

Versatile Scotland unit poised for U19 World Cup push

Thomas Knight is set to lead a well-balanced Scotland side for their ICC Men's U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 campaign in Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Including a number of players who stood up in their European Qualifier campaign, the side have also included Shlok Thaker and Shreyas Tekale, the latter sneaking into Scotland's final squad after strong performances for the Under-17 group.

The side will be a difficult prospect for Group B opponents, tough to form a gameplan considering the number of players who showed their capabilities on the quest to book tournament tickets.

Manu Saraswat's talents with both bat and ball prop him up as arguably the best prospect of the group, a crafty batter with touch behind square as well as a range of shots on the front to go with his middle overs off-spin.

Finlay Jones was prolific with 11 wickets in the qualifying run, with the likes of Ethan Ramsay, Ollie Jones and Rory Grant other players to watch.

The tournament will also provide another special moment for the Carter family, with Fin, the brother of Scottish women's international Darcey, also in the group.

The Scots have prepared with a camp in Potchefstroom and head to Zimbabwe for warm-up games against India in Bulawayo and Bangladesh in Harare.

Scotland Squad: Thomas Knight (c), Finlay Carter, Max Chaplin, George Cutler, Rory Grant, Finlay Jones, Ollie Jones, Ali Khan, Olly Pillinger, Ethan Ramsay, Theo Robinson, Manu Saraswat, Shreyas Tekale, Shlok Thaker, Jake Woodhouse
