The ICC has confirmed venues and the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will see the high-profile group match in Colombo, while the ICC has also confirmed the full tournament schedule and groupings for the 20-team event co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, featuring 40 group games across various venues.

T20 World Cup Groups:

Group A: India, USA, Namibia, Netherlands, Pakistan
Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal
Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Canada, UAE

The two teams only face each other in ICC and ACC events now. Amid political tensions, Pakistan and India do not lock horns in bilateral series anymore.

Nah our T20 Team is well settled unlike test. Yes GG can do blunders like playing harshit rana but we are still good enough to beat any team in T20 cricket.

Pak is peaking with recent wins over sa and tri series, they might start as favs.

Why is this always phrased like this when it should be "India chooses not to lock horns in bilateral series with Pakistan"? We all know which side avoids playing the other while they desperately fix groups so they can catch them at tournaments and make money from there.

So if money is the motive for the BCCI to play Pakistan in tournaments, why isn't money the motive to also play Pakistan in bilaterals?​

Last couple of years, Parag didn't do anything even in ipl. He has to compete with rinku at 7.both play pacers well but not so good against spin in death overs.

Bcoz for bilateral series u cannot make any excuse that India dont want to play them but cannot help as its ICC / ACC event

So they just fix ICC events to ensure the 2 teams always play each other & then pretend that BCCI cannot do anything

Rana won't be there for sure.one pacer plus pandya team combo dont need him. Jitesh seems to be a failure and he may get one last chance against sa .Samson may again come in his position. So not much choice for us.
 
India is the better T20 side and has an mental advantage over Pakistan, but its a very short game. Anyone can win on the back of two good performances

Yes, you are favorites and ofcourse what else can we expect....Unless true talented lads from Pakistan come forward. But untill we will keep sticking with Saim, Usman, Naseem, Haris, SSA etc there is not much hope

You have three months for preparation, jisko chahe khila lo,jiska chahe bahar nikalo. I don't want any excuse like this.

And Pakistan is playing all the game in Lanka so no jet leg ,no different conditions , all things are favouring Pakistan so please more excuses.

YOU and your board are the biggest hurdle, as you PROMISED to remove the biggest ulcer from PCT and you have already wasted another month and now we are left with 3, I repeat no fair chance of PCT improving until it is being run by sheer incompetent bunch

It's not our problem who ruled the PCB, select the players whoever you want to play.

Hahaha...oh yes we have never thrashed IPL stars, and have worst youngsters 😂...It's all about merit within a system and merit flows from top to bottom in any board or system

Considering India got cooked last time they decided to play Pakistan in bilaterals, it makes sense. But on a serious note, I'm not sure. It can't be denied that it is a money making scheme. You can't seriously suggest that there's another reason as to how Pak and India always find themselves in the same group.

This is a great opportunity for Pakistan to win this game. Players lost trust on Gambhir, his coaching staff and methods. Gambhir's team got whitewashed by SL in spinning surfaces (although in ODIs, it's still a precedent). So spin to win...
 
India is not a great T20 side. Too much Gambhir chopping and changing going on there too. They statpadded wins by beating poor Asian teams who can't take advantage of Dube/Hardik bowling in PP and death with specialist Arshdeep Singh sitting out. SENA teams ll expose Gambhir in white ball also in big WC games just like in tests....

India defeated South Africa in South Africa(3-1)Australia in australia(2-1) . Last time played the 5 match T20 series against England at home and won by 4-1. Maybe do some research before posting nonsense.

Now we are playing 5 match T20 series against South Africa and NZ at home in next month's and we will Thrashed them

Indian T20 team is undisputed champion of T20 cricket. India was first team to win a World T20 without losing any matches.

Fortunately cricket is live telecast and all the record are well documented otherwise Pakistani would have claimed india lost the Asia Cup and Australia T20 series Judging by their fake propaganda here.

Still I am not confident about Indian team doing well with Gambhir at the helm in this tournament. They can beat Pakistan but it can all unravel in a big game in super 8 or semis or finals vs a SENA nation...

India won the t20 series 3-0 in Sri Lanka.Test and odi teams are struggling not t20 team.

GG is right Coach for limited over cricket , allrounders do Play Major role in T20 cricket and they gives us perfect balance along with batting depths which is most important things for T20.
Last time we lost a T20 series way back in 2023. After that we undefeated in T20 tournament/ series.

People criticise gg for the test results but he is very good in t20s.our t20 got multiple bases covered with ars till 8 , 2 very good spinners and best death bowler.only thing is that we dont want a minefield track to screw us.
 
They know what they were doing putting USA in the same group as Pak :ROFLMAO: this gonna be a huge mental test for this side. But with Babar and Rizwan not opening this time in sha Allah, hopefully things start more positively, against anyone.

Every year there is a World Cup or CT. There is also Asia Cup.

Cricket has become a circus. I miss 1990's/2000's cricket when there was less cricket but it was very high quality. It felt fulfilling. :inti

It was more of a satirical comment. I think a lot of it comes down to pure stubbornness and ego of the Indian cricket board and government.
