So far at chennai, spinners have been effective in the first innings only and it plays much slower in the first innings. Second innings ball comes onto the bat easily and spinners become ineffective. There's only a small window for pacers upfront and that's about it.

Don't know why people keep saying it's Chepauk but the pitch and ball play better in 2nd innings in the world cup .

Let's see if Pakistan bucks the trend. They keep batting first here
