Huge worldwide interest in this game.

Any Pakistani 'tubbies or oldies' taking part?

Bangladesh's Aftab Ahmed has injured his left thumb and now sitting out. They don't know if he will be able to bat
World XI 99-4 after 12 overs

It's so strange to see Martyn playing so poorly these days. He was a brilliant batsman in his time for Australia - played some scintillating cut strokes, especially against us in 2005. 2004 was his golden year; after that, he kind of melted away which is sad for a player of his talent. One of the most graceful, elegant batsman I've ever had the pleasure to see.

And what's even stranger is that he got out to a spinner... he was a very, very good player of spin.

^^ Damien Martyn was my favorite Australian batsman during his playing days. Such an elegant and gifted stroke maker he was, a delight to watch. Just look at his profile on Cricinfo, such lavish praises are bestowed on his batting style ........ "No contemporary cricketer, Tendulkar aside, made batting look so simple as Damien Martyn."

My favorite Australian batsman before him was Mark Waugh, another gifted player.

Murray Goodwin of Zimbabwe ? Yeah, he was a part of the Zimbabwe team which was good/decent before the 2003 WC.
