It is a good opportunity but people are really going overboard. We have just had two debutants, the only senior players aren’t players are Malik and Sarfaraz with a very young team, as we have Shaheen in the squad training and with the boys.

But honestly what has Shaheen done to merit selection? I saw all of psl and beside that one good match he didn't look good. Just because he has height and pace doesn't mean he deserves selection. He needs to learn line and length otherwise he will be tonked all over in international Cricket

pakistan has always selected pace bowlers like this. Pace and height are two things you are born with for the most. Part. Line and length, bowling action, etc... Are things that can be learned.

And where is he going to learn this? If you saw the u19 world cup the Indian fast bowlers we're faster and tighter with their lines but we don't see them debuting for indian. He is not ready and unless he spends time with a coach who can teach him to pitch the ball up he will be a waste

If you’re talking about Nagarkoti, the only thing he had was his 140-147 kmph pace. He didn’t have lines nor swing. You can see some of his videos online, there is no movement of even an inch. I don’t want to come of as mean but the IPL will really decide if he’s really international material.

Yeah, I'm glad they aren't working as part of team management. Waqar made sense, and if Shaheen is not given an opportunity today after 2 landslide beatings then that's pathetic. They talk about how these guys are playing in front of their home crowd and don't want to be dropped. There's also 4 guys on the bench who want to play in front of their home crowd, honestly I'd give them all a go now the series is secured.

Exactly, this was the best opportunity to see what Shaheen is about. You had 3 low risk games to play him against an associate level team, instead you go essentially full strength team. I don't see logic in that at all, at least should have got 2nd game, and if he somehow fails to get the 3rd then something is not right up there for the team think tank.

This is why I wanted 3/3 games for Shaheen. If he does play that gives him just one game to prove his worth, the least opportunity compared to others and that's alot of pressure. If he played all games, and failed once no big deal he could have had two good games. Nevertheless, I hope he plays and performs today.

Although I dont like Shehzad, at this stage, might aswell play all the players on the bench. Have beaten Windies by a landslide twice, atleast try and get some competition out of them. We'd still have about 7 of the same players playing, and to be honest the result will be the same. Its good to give all these players a chance to play in front of a home crowd.
