I am doubtful even though it should, based on hybrid model.

Seems like India hasn't planned for that eventuality.

Would actually be interesting if it happens.

Everyone knows there is 0 chance of that happening, that’s one of the reasons why India were OK with hybrid model knowing full well that this Pakistan team would never make it that far.

This doesn’t need a thread though. It’s already decided that final will be in Colombo if this impossible scenario happens

There is a good chance India will not make it to the finals.

Pakistan has no chance of making it to the finals.

Organizers very well know that the chances of India-Pak finals are extremely low to none. So they will not think about that issue.

It will be held in Lanka if Pakistan qualify for final . India is not like Pakistan who behave like vagabond. :kp

The match would likely be played in Sri Lanka but I don't think we need to plan for that or anything. The odds of Trump becoming a Buddhist monk are higher than Pakistan making the final.

It will be held in Colombo.

It’s about sticking to principles dear. Both India and Pakistan agreed to this and must act honourably and they will, I have no doubt.

India should make it. Their t20 team is probably all time best in this format- based on recent results.
India is playing high risk high reward T20 cricket. All it needs is a bad day and they are toast. I do not see any player that can grind out when the main guns fail and take India to a respectable score. Tilak is the only player who can do that. But he is coming back from an injury. Not sure how much he will be effective. Lack of match practice can hurt him.

Speaking as an unbiased, results/stats based observer, I don’t think anyone can stop India - except India themselves. This could happen due to lack of veterans to guide them through in case they hit a rough patch. Otherwise, really balanced team in both batting and bowling.

One cannot predict whether India will make it to the finals. On paper, we are a strong team. But off day can be possible for any team which has not overcome pressure on winning the match. If Pakistan make it to the final, whether the match is against India or any other team, the match will be played in Colombo because that is the agreement.
