That means qudrat ka nizam is activated.
Pakistan should drop Babar and Salman Ali should not bat before 6 or 7 down.
Drop Nawaz i mean shadab is not deserving but that guy can smash some here and there.

4. Usman (as he can smash spinners in middle overs)

8. Salman Ali (this wont happen until out team is 150-2 at 16th over)

Pak score 150, they need to win by ~63 runs
If Pak score 160, they need to win by ~63 runs
If Pak score 180, they need to win by ~64 runs

If Lanka bats first Pak has to chase within 13 overs.
 
Win by 65 runs , in that case bat 1st score 180 long shot but let's hope
Then bowl SL out at 115 might be possible if Tariq takes a double Hattrick

If Sri Lanka get bundled out for below 140, Pakistan can try to chase it down in 13 overs. This is the best realistic scenario among all the possible outcomes
 
SL has messed the chances of both themselves and Pak. NNR always comes into it. Had SL the host did better against NZ with a lesser defeat then both SL and Pk would’ve had a better chance to go through over NZ!

Not in racist sense but majority of Pakistanis are my Punjabi cousins. We may fight each other, do gaali galoch or even throw punches at each other, but we are bound by Punjabi brotherhood and an even deeper connection of being the descendants of Indus Valley Civilization.
 
Ned once chased 190 in 13.5 iirc. So Pak should go with that mindset. If we are going down might as well go down swinging. Must play faheem as he is way better batsman than nawaz.

Open with fakhar or nafay. And tell them to go from ball 1.
 
Chasing is better.

If Pakistan restrict Sri Lanka to 130 / 140 then chasing in 14 overs is possible.

I would send Usman Khan to open with Farhan.

SL is a Sinhala majority nation they have nothing to do with South Indians. SL tamils have connection with Indian tamils as they migrated from Tamil Nadul South India.
 
Time for Pakistan to try their hearts out and step up!

Sri Lanka on the other hand put your feet up! Rest your main players, give chances to the bench players 😄!

Just checked.. it was against Bangladesh in 2019 WC. Had to win by 300 runs but they just gave up.

The only reason I say chasing is because they will have a set total to go after in the 13 overs. They can organize their chase around the new NRR and utilize the PP with that in mind too.

Might even get some dew coming into play.

If they bat first, they will likely fall well short by trying to go for 230+.
 
if we win toss, we have to go for chase in 13 overs. That is the most realistic option (albeit highly unlikely). We will know it early if target is more than 140, we won’t make it.

And there is no way by any measure Babar can play tomorrow. Nafay has to play, bring in Faheem.
 
Pakistan will need to win by 64 runs or chase in around 13.1 overs against Sri Lanka to overtake New Zealand and qualify for the semi-finals 👀

True. Blind slogging will get them bundled out for 100. Will be a tactical game that Pakistan is surely bottling, lol.

Fair point but pak is one of terrible side while chasing
 
Winning by 64 runs sounds mote realistic because that’s exactly what the last two teams who defeated Sri Lanka did.

Score 180 runs
Then hope to bundle them out for 100-120 something
It’s the best bet


I don’t trust Pakistani batters to chase down any total in 13 overs. It’s against their way

risky to bowl first, don't think we are good enough to restrict them to that small of a score to chase in 13

winning by 65 odd runs is the more likely of the scenarios however small that chances are for either. Go with:

Farhan
Fakhar
UK
Nafay
Shady

and back yourself to make 200 odd. If bobzy king plays then our chances go to 0%. Abrar needs to return as well to give ourselves the best chance to restrict them

I remember going to watch Pak v bangla 2017 World Cup in London, Pak had to make like 500 runs and bowl out Bangladesh for like 150 or something crazy like that to qualify haha. Atleast tomorrow we have a chance against an SL batting line up which has been struggling.

They wouldn't be able to chase any target against an associate team either within 13 overs let alone Sri Lanka who has bowled pretty well this tournament it's their batting that gives our own a run for being the worst amongst all.
