So let's put things into perspective to ease your pain.
Yeah continue to live in the 2010s and not allow our cricket to move on with this pathetic mindset. It’s this stubborn, useless mindset that was the reason why we had an entire decade of being out of touch with the rest of the world!
Yes, it's not 2010.
Things have changed. But do you really know what has actually changed over the last decade or two?
You don't seem to have the foggiest of ideas.
The biggest change is, hardly anyone plays for pride anymore. It's now all about money. Money, money and money. This is it.
^^
This is what has changed.
Every player wants to make as much as he can, every board wants to make as much as it can. And nothing wrong with it, mind you.
If cricket is business, an entertainment based business, then indeed all what matters in a business is MONEY.
So lets talk about business and money.
The very first question.
Why would IPL allow Pak players?
The answer is obvious; it's primarily because it will boost IPL's revenues.
IPL are not your chachay k puttar and your puphi k puttar to let your players play based on mercy.
There is a demand of Pak players in the huge Indian market, and also in the small Pak market.
So,
If our players flock to play in IPL and make a few million then it will simply mean two things.
First, in the business of cricket, BCCI will get a MUCH MUCH bigger chunk of financial benefit, and our players in comparison will get peanuts. (a few million dollars max).
Second, we will effectively backstab PSL.
India currently is the biggest cricket market. And within that market, there is a viewership of PSL because they want to see our players in action.
However, once our players play in IPL, the need/wish/want/demand, to see them in T20 action will be satisfied by IPL, and you will lose the viewership of PSL in the Indian market. Many in Pak market won't be interested anymore in watching PSL.
So how to counter this in terms of a pure business deal?
Read the disclaimer in #24. It's nice and bold, and easily readable for comprehension.
I find this guy to be the biggest hypocrite on this discussion. I made a thread about what would be Rauf or Asif Ali’s IPL value and this Besharam shakhs took it upon himself to call me a ‘beghairat’ for wanting our players in the IPL
Why don’t you have the same attitude towards the OP now that the question has been posed by a moderator?
And talking about reading comprehension, can you please point me to the post where I
personally called you a "Baighairut" insaan?
This will be interesting because I usually avoid launching personal attacks, but if I did, I would sincerely apologize. Otherwise, you will need to revisit your reading comprehension skills, and extend an apology for false accusation.
However, coming back to the point, I firmly stand on my ground and my stance remains the same.
BCCI and their goons in the Indian govt, don't even
SPIT at Pak players. Many of them who are incharge, HATE you for your religion and your nationality. but some facets among Pakistan fans just can't get over with the fetish, fantasy and obsession of Pak players being shoved into IPL.
It's amazing, no?
They don't throw a rotten bone at you, but you are obsessed with licking their rear end.
But yes, if cricket is a business, and feelings and pride has no meaning in business because all what matters in business is money, THEN read the above reply again. If it's about money, then we should aim for frying the bigger fish.
And that is, if having our players participate and boost IPL's revenue then we shouldn't settle for peanuts either. We should also get the same kind of boost to PSL. This is called the double dip, to get the maximum out of business deal.
Your blind obsession of seeing Pak players in IPL is like a beggar on his knees with his begging bowl after being spat on the face. You call it baighairuti or whatever, is your own call.
