If Shan Masood steps down, who can be the next Test captain of Pakistan?

It’s time Shan calls it a day as test captain he doesn’t justify his spot.

Next test is in November so why not try Saud as captain or Riz.

Anyone is better then Shan I never thought I will see a captain worse then Babar but Shan bhai did not disappoint and his vision is to turn Pakistan in to Bangladesh circa 2000-2010

I would keep Abbas out also and if Naseem and Shaheen are not interested in red ball keep them away and trust domestic performers there are couple of good potential pacers this year like Arshaullah and Awais Anwar induct them along with Khurram but atleast make balanced test pitches don’t go from one extreme to the other

Only in aus his captaincy was great. After that he's consistently let sides recover from collapsed positions due to rubbish field settings.

As for batting, this part i agree with. He's aggressive.

What matters to me is that he is the antithesis of a selfish batter. We have finally started winnin with him in charge even if it is just starting. He doesn’t really have a world class group of players to use anyway so I don’t necessarily blame him.

People want Rizwan to replace him but the reality is, Rizwan and the team was almost entirely carried by Saim Ayub in Australia and South Africa. We had no chance of winning otherwise so don’t let it cloud your judgement that we win because of amazing captaincy.

Naturally has to be Rizwan. He’s the only batter in the Pakistan test team at the moment whose place seems more secure. His performances are ok if not great and is already leading white ball teams.
