And yasir Arafat has been in the top ten of every countries most wanted t20 player but not done jack for Pakistan

Akmal brothers are the most overrated sportsmen on this planet. Umer Akmal is as mediocre as they come but some are under the delusion that he is Ricky Ponting in the making.

Seems like Mohammed Nabi has been the best foreign player followed by Shahzad. Both from Afghanistan, good to see, Shahzad should be picked in IPL, his shots are awestrucking.
There was a time when unknown Pakistani player like Shahed Mahamud ,Monirul Hauque , Nadeem younos topped BD leagues by a fair distance!! At that time , no Bangladeshi players was normally seen top batting & bowling lists !!!! Time has changed ! Now all Bangladeshi leagues normally topped by Local players !!
In 90's when unknown Indian Pakistani or srilankan's use to dominate our leagues , I would wonder how far they are from us !!! It's nice to think that our cricket has advanced so much from that point !!!! Still a long way to go !!!

Gone are those days.I am not much surprised though.
The quality overall has been falling gradually of Pakistan cricket and it's the opposite in case of Bangladesh cricket.The performance of our local boys has surpassed them by some distance.
I think next time the franchise will think thrice before hiring them.

Exactly. I can still remember those day's. Even a 2nd class club level player of Pakistan used to turn into Miandad and Waqar when they entered our cricket league.

Tannu and Shobby not doing too badly.
Tannu especially is really coming into his own with bat in recent times in these t20 leagues.
I know Sharjeel was a wildcard selection for Aus, but wouldn't have minded Tanvir being selecting for NZ as pace AR.
Sadly the only bowler we have who can swing the new ball with some consistency.

Shahzaib hasan needs to be given a chance. How Khalid latif gets in ahead of him is shocking. Khalid played well last inning but most of his runs were against spinners and on his wagon wheel apart from third man and square on off everything else was legside. Shahzaib can play all the shots and is very fit nowadays

Pakistan has rightly dropped those mediocre players from national team and they have failed here too.
Imad Wasim is gem of a player.Babar and Sharjeel is very good.Khalid Latif and Malik who are playing in this edition are good t20 players.Next season these core national players will be targeted i think.Quality players are needed to increase the quality of BPL.

+1...absurdity knows no bounds. Both brothers are chronic failures at all levels and should be discarded for good.
I remember three names, Monirul Haque, Nadeem Younos & Shaheed Mahamud, was unbelievable in those days!!! Whose were never played for pakistan or pakistan A teams and Gamage of Srilanka!!!
Club cricket was too much popular then!!! 45/50 thousands spectator came to stadium normally to enjoy MSC Vs Akc matches those days!!! sweet old memories!!

Ashok Malhotra, Arunlal,Raman Lamba of India were regular features and used to pile up runs.Though they represented India only in a few matches, they were regarded as high profile cricketers in Dhaka league.Another names that come into mind are Brendon Kuruppu of Srilanka,Ashoka De Silva, Rumesh Ratnayeke of Sri Lanka.Few high profile international cricketers like Arjuna Ranatunga, Arbinda De Silva, Neil Fairbrother used to participate in big matches.Even Wasim played a few.

No comparison
Only reason Pakistanis are not tearing apart BPL because the national team is on tour

BPL or DPL need not foreign player to compete PSL or QAE as locals are much better player than Pak LOI players. Deal with it.

In T20, only regular top order #1,#2 and #3 are expected to top the charts.
so nothing unusual here.
#1,2,,3 are usual!!! foreign players also playing in these slots!!! Top scorer so far are Musfik & Mithun!! They normally played in 4/5!!
England / Aus/ SA/Sl/Nzl/ WI / pak ard now playing intl games! so its normal to not get its main players in BPL!! if Pakistan national team would free to play!! then other than Sharjeel & Amir who would be selected from this national team!!!!

It's not a straightforward question to answer.
But if you seek my answer i will say that these two leagues are at par with neck to neck differences in quality.
The quality of a league depends mainly on the quality of local players, not on foreign players.The players who are getting into the national side based on the performance of these leagues indicate their real quality and talent by their performances on international arena.
