Since the Rs 500 and 1000 note ban in India, Several media outlet in Pakistan has tossed the idea of a similar ban in Pakistan. The reason for such ban is getting success is secrecy before implementation and support from aam people.

I am wondering let say If Nawaz Sharif decides to take such move, Will it be successful? How would aam aadmi react? Would media support it? above all, Would Army ever allow such measure? :sharif:poodle:inti

Thanks for opening the thread, I suggested for Mamoon to do it as he is a supporter of PML-N and they are the current party in power so the only ones capable of implementing it.

Surprise is of course the key element, but India is in turmoil right now as a result of ordinary citizens panicking and trying to get rid of the old notes, with many organisations and businesses refusing to honour them. We need to see how it pans out before we can start calling it a masterstroke.

I am just wondering how it will pan out in Pakistan? Masterstroke or not, It remains to be seen.

this exactly. ANd this problem exists in our dumb society aswell.

If the Nawaz Sharif govt does something good and you credit them, then everyone starts labelling you a pro pmln, or if you criticize PTI then you are automatically a PMLN walla.

Goes both ways

40 entirely avoidable deaths, poor standing in lines for 12 hrs and still being sent away, daily wagers losing their daily wages, businesses losing money.
Either Modi and his bhakts have Marie Antoinetteish levels of callousness or they are deceitful and dishonest.
Add to that Kim Jong-un levels of intimidation of the press where reporters like Ravish Kumar are threatened for showing the plight of the aam admi and India under Modi is the last country on earth Pakistan should be looking to follow in any way.

Pakistani are lucky that they are not subjected to this torture. People here are only saving money for food items. All other markets are nearly empty now as 100Rs note is disappearing from market.
