I would take on Rohit Sharma...

Batting is what we need - bowling takes care of itself.

How about you?

Rashid Khan

4 overs by Rashid can turn the game upside down

Any spinner that can take wickets, like Rashid Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi, Adil Rashid, Ravi Ashwin etc. Over Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim or Mohammad Hafeez.

We need BATSMEN.

If It's a T20 format, I will take Dre Russ.
For ODI - Rohit Sharma
For Test - Kane Williamson

If Afghanistan cricket gets banned by ICC because of the Taliban, maybe Rashid Khan can come and play for Pakistan. :P

Tests: Steve Smith

Batting has been a worry for us in tests in recent times
Will shift Kohli to no 5 and drop Rahane

Odis: Jofra Archer

T20Is: Rashid Khan

Tough to narrow it down to just one player so I'll go with two (one batter and one bowler). :)

Tests - Joe Root, Pat Cummins

ODIs - Jos Butler, Rashid Khan

T20is - Glenn Maxwell, Rashid Khan

Rashid khan or mujeeb

Both are great spinners. There arnt any good spinners in cricket and these two are the best. Rashid has a tight line and length and spins it well.

Mujeeb is utilized wrongly by afg as he is asked to bowl with a new ball. He spins the ball good enough with a legal action and is much better than all of our current spinners

Rohit Sharma for me. Top order firepower which Pakistan lacks.

I think Pakistan has enough fire power in the opening slot. Hence I would go for Kohli.

Rashid Khan.

He is magic. If your batsmen can post 140-150 consistently, he can single-handedly win you the title in UAE conditions.

Umar Akmal…from USA

:))) QOTW...

Btw there is another cricketer who i enjoyed watching, Ravi Bishnoi. The guy was fantastic spinner at u19 level and I am surprised he has still not played for India. What happened to him? Did he have the same spin quality in IPL?

If the kid is still as good as he was at U19, i would want to take him aswell. Good spinnner

Chacha Ifti from KPK.
On serious note has to be Rashid especially for UAE. If it was anywhere else I would have considered Russel or Maxwell or R Sharma.
Second best option for UAE for me would be Moeen Ali.

Eoin Morgan

We need a street smart leader across formats.

My two choices for each format fo rmy side india

T20 Rashid Khan and Andre russill
ODI's - Jonny bairstow(wold keep as well) and SS Afridi - will be a good combo with jazz boom, will also leave footmarks for spinners
Test - Steve smith (instead of rahane) imagine vk and SS together, and SS Afridi -for same reasons as above.

In T20s its actually a tossup between Bumrah & Varun Chakravarthy for me. One is a gun bowler, especially towards the death, another a good mystery spinner which we lack.

In Tests- Williamson or Root

Good pick.
A batsman of his potential/versatility would have been first choice in all formats, if he was born in any other country.

It is outrageous how he has not replaced Dhawan at the top of the order, he provides much more versatility.

He's 28 already, and I think India have missed a lot by not playing him regularly.

Vast majority of the posters are not even reading the subject of the thread.

That's because Dhawan has been excellent in ODIs. Can't drop a guy with a more than decent enough pedigree in ODIs.

In T20s also, his form showed improvement over last two years but KL had done enough to get a nod ahead of him as opener and hence is selected for WT20 ahead of Dhawan.

He should be the first-choice opener across all formats.

He's pushing 30 and has played only 38 ODIs.

India will need to think about Dhawan in the near future because at the age of 35 he's unlikely to get better.

Rahul on the other hand will keep getting better the more he plays.

He was not played initially by Punjab but when he played he consistently took 1-2 wicket in every match.he has 12 wickets in 9 matches at the economy of just above 6.
