Hey guys though im a leggie but i do fast bowling only to make some muscles i have a question if you're a fast bowler.
i want to ask you if your toe end of the two fingers holding the ball hurt after fast bowling due to the friction made by the seam? My main aim is to just bowl with a beautiful straight seam so i try to cock my wrist as fast as possible at the delivery time but due to the friction ny fingers get hurt and after three deliveries i have to stop cuz the pain just increases i tried bowling with tape on toe end of my fingers but i couldnot bowl well with it the result was a ugly wobbly seam position delivery.
So is this a common thing?

May be you are gripping the ball too tightly , and if you are getting the seam upright and getting a good back spin then I think it's worth the pain.

You may be holding the ball to tightly. Don't hold it too tight but not too lightly either. Make sure your fingers are straight down the seam if you want perfect seam position. It won't be perfect at first but keep trying you'll get it soon.

Thnx will try

This is all probably because you are gripping the ball a little to tightly as I have bowled endlessly for overs and overs of fast bowling and my finger tips never hurt..., u should leave at least a finger or two's worth of space between your hand and the ball ( in between the the thumb and index finger).:misbah
