Excellent bowling! I've always liked his aggressive attitude that a fast bowler must have. Apart from the skill,he's mentally strong that helps him succeed in crucial matches and gives him edge over mentally weak and meek bowlers like Rahat. He should be in ODIs and T20s as well.

Didn't look fit or he doesn't have the stamina to play Test Cricket, nevertheless very good spell of swing bowling.

One of him or Junaid are a must in the side. He is a right-armer so would be a welcome addition in our left-arm pace battery.

Tall Irfan is done now. His height offers no advantage anymore and he clearly lacks a bowling brain. Age and fitness not on his side either.

As far as Sami goes, I'm more clutch than him under-pressure. Far too inconsistent, unreliable in crunch games (basically rules him out of WCs, so what's the point), and age is not on his side, either.

That leaves us with Amir & Wahab for all formats. 3 more pacers are needed for each format.

For Tests, we have Rahat, Imran, and Adil doing fine.

For ODIs, I think we should have Sohail Khan, Amir Yamin, and one of Junaid Khan/Hassan Ali/Rahat Ali/Ehsan Adil/Zia-ul-Haq.

For T20Is, I think we should have Junaid Khan, Amir Yamin, and Hassan Ali/Zia-ul-Haq.

Just FYI, Zia was dropped without getting a game in the T20I squad vs SL.

Like I said, this man is a must in the ODI squad.

Would've had Adil/Hamza over him in Tests, but don't mind him either.

Great to see him doing well.

We will find in next match that how much Pakistan's number 8 batsman has improved his fitness in last 3 weeks. He is a fighter and competitor for sure so he must have challenged himself.

Still on Aussie outfield and bowling runup massive differences in Truff Sohail's lower back and hamstrings will be really tested and he may get unfit.

If he remains fit throughout the match he will perform well with both new ball , old ball reverse and useful runs at number 8.


If he gets unfit than Pakistan must fly in Asif. He is injury free and fuly match fit now. Stomach bug will hardly take another day and than he will be back to training.

In case another pacer gets unfit than Junaid could be picked if he performs well in fitness test and if Mudassar Nazar clears him and says that He can bowl 40 to 50 overs in a Test.
