Sometimes a character of a player is very important in big games. For me this is where imad stumps Nawaz. The latter looks like a rabbit in head lights in crunch situations

Disagree partly. I do agree that Imad would have 0 in his wicket column the same as Nawaz does.Nawaz has always been the better bowler and Imad the better batter.
Nawaz bowled better in this year's PSL as well.
The spot Imad was in contention with was what Salman Ali Agha/Iftikhar took. A batsman who could give you some overs.
Imad batting at 8 would have made no difference as his bowling would have been just as pathetic as Nawaz's in this tournament.
Iftikhar is doing that job. Nothing to show in the wickets column but an economy near 5.5. I doubt Imad would have topped thatDisagree partly. I do agree that Imad would have 0 in his wicket column the same as Nawaz does.
But Imad's economy is absolutely GOATed. Especially on these wickets he would have helped strangle the RR in the early stages which would have helped so much.
We sorely lacked a defensive bowler which was evident when we painfully watched Rauf get treated with utter disdain. Imad was the man for that role.
Nawaz is probably the happiest person with imad leaving
He is Babar's boy he will stay in the national team and isn't going anywhere. If I were him, I would be looking to do something humorously big in PSL or he will be history soon.
Thats very true. Infact, the competition would be between Nawaz and Shadab now for one allrounder spot. While hopefully one full time spinner is kept.If I were him, I would be looking to do something humorously big in PSL or he will be history soon.
Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen - it's all the same.He is Babar's boy he will stay in the national team and isn't going anywhere.
No Imad probably is.Nawaz is probably the happiest person with imad leaving
I think it depends upon what objective each player sets for himself. And whether the objective changed over the years or not.No Imad probably is.
T10, CPL, BBL etc.
He doesn't have to hope he's picked, he doesn't have to hope he gets a NOC.
