Imad again promoting himself over Talat. :danish

Talat is a batsman who plays at his best in the top order. He loves pace on the ball and is one of those rare batsmen from Pak who can improvise against pace bowlers and hit them out the park too.

AB de Villier-esque style of play and improvisation.

However, the limited batsman that Imad is -- why is he not giving Talat a chance to bat most of the overs?

He's done it again and sent Talat at #6.

I have said it before too, there is only 1 captain in Pakistan domestic who in real meaning promotes youngsters and that is Shoaib Malik.
Others are just not bold enough to trust youngsters.
And thats why I think its harsh just criticizing Anwar Ali when other domestic captains in last 6-7 years are not that different.

Anwar, Tanvir and Imad Wasim.

I've seen all 3 of them trying to sideline their very competition. They don't want to promote their direct competition.

Talat can be potentially our best allrounder in YEARS.

Imad Wasim has always played at number 5 in List A and FC for Islamabad.

Hussain batting at 6 is fine. Imad sent Hussain at number 5 in 2 matches.

Look at Sarmad Bhatti who has probably got 2 FC double hundreds and is a stylish technically correct batsman is batting at number 8. He too is top order batsman.

Wrong team selection. Federal have Haris, Hafeez, Sami, Talat, Bhatti, Abid all top order batsman

You are right in a way but it makes their batting very strong.

If they win PC than it means they chose a very good team.

I just feel sorry for Sarmad Bhatti. I think Hussain got decent chances with the bat in PC.

If you see Punjab than as per journalists Inzamam and U Akmal picked the squad so look at their performance in PC ?

Imad leads Federal to the Pakistan Cup title, a sad day for Imad haters

I don't think so. I agree Hussain is suited to the number 4-5 position but Federal have too many top order batsmen. Besides Talat hasn't shone with the bat in this tournament whereas Imad hammered 60 something in the 375 chase and came back not out.

baseless accusations and propaganda against Imad have been going around for a while now, and Imad haters ironically are Umer Akmal fans, so that tells something about their mentality

I am also a huge Umar Akmal fan but not the fan of poor performing, unfit, attitude stricken Umar Akmal. Also I don't push for his selection when he is performing poorly. Fortunately I have watched 95 % of his quality televised innings so I loved it bigtime when he murdered the best of the best especially while wearing the national star. I also want to frame his six of morkel and siddle :)

Imad has worked very very hard to make Pakistan Team especially given the fact that he can't turn the ball. It hasn't been easy for him. I want him to perform consistently and get rid of that belly. We need batting performances from him in CT like the way he performed vs England in England. Happy that he is in good form especially with the ball.

Imad needs to bat at 6 since he's not a lower order hitter that can hit from ball 1. Can easily play at a SR of 90, batting reminds me of Yuvraj Singh.

Umar had a dream start to his career, but now he's a lost cause and he should be dropped from the team immediately, he didn't merit his seelction at all. His record is atrocious in the last couple of years, instead that terrible record even flatters him, he looked out of sorts in Australia, everyone could see that how uncomfortable he is at the crease and should not play for he national team.

Yamin deserved to be selected as the lower order batsman on merit, he can be the 4th seamer as well and bowl some overs.

Imad will most likely play all CT matches, and rightfully so. Mickey and Sarfraz likes him, he's done well despite his limited skill set. His record in the last series in England would be a plus point for his selection for CT games.
He is working hard, he has taken wickets on turning balls in Eng, Aus and WI series. Saqlain Mushtaq has emphasised he has potential, he can learn to spin regularly and become a better spinner. All in all he shouldn't be dropped from the ODI and T20 teams at any cost.
