I think we should use Bhatti as a bowling allrounder I like his bowling

Who on earth would copy Umar Gul's action, then take 10 km/h off his speed? It's bizarre.
There is no future for this guy. Umar Gul was most useful as third seamer in 2010 behind Asif and Amir, with Ajmal at the other end, but even he was never a Test strike bowler.
My thoughts are that eleven months from now the fast bowling hierarchy should read:
1. Amir
2. Asif
3. Junaid
4. Irfan
5. Wahab
6. Ehsan Adil
To me, the future is Ehsan Adil, certainly outside Asia. But he needs to improve his batting as well as his bowling, because with Junaid and Asif there will already be two number 11s in the team.
If I'm being honest, from what I've seen of him on Test debut so far, I'm not overly impressed.
He's been bowling around 130kph most of the time and hasn't looked too threatening.
It's a flat track but I was expecting more from him.
There are some incredibly rash judgements on here considering that the poor guy has only bowled a few overs on debut on a dead pitch. Give him a chance for goodness sake. He bowls good lengths is reversing it and it's clear that pace attack is secondary to the spin trio for this match. He's not gonna blow the Aussies away but to keep these guys quiet for long stretches of the game is no mean feat.
Does anybody remember asifs debut in helpful Australian conditions? Nobody would have predicted then that he would reemerge as one of the worlds best bowlers. Give players a chance once they are selected for heavens sake.

If it's a flat pitch why were you expecting more from him?

Anyone know why Azhar Ali was having a go at him as the rest were celebrating the win..?
Anyone..?

his pace is really worrying..He was bowling around 127 kph in his last spell. not good enough at this level. Doesn't matter if he is good with the old ball or new ball that pace won't most likely get you wickets.
hey why the hell are you obsessed with pace, he's far far far better than wahab and sami...pak have a real something to work with, only criticism justified against him is his lackadaisical attitude on the ground while fielding, need to work on his fielding big time!!
Have you seen philander bowl? oh right! he shoots bazookas...Typical pak mentality
anything @ 127 ks become ineffective. Phillander is not that quick but he is quick enough to e affeactive. His average is mostly around 135 ks which is good enough. I know Imran Khan has few skills especially with the old ball but needs to raise his pace.
Wahab isn't a trundler. Not penetrative at all with the new ball, trundles harmlessly with the old and produces a bit of spark when there is reverse swing on offer.
The story of every Pakistani fast bowler since Shoaib Akhtar barring Amir and Asif.
Wahab isn't a trundler.
Wahab is a quicker version of IK. Bowling reverse at 145k is much better than IKs mid 130K trundling.Wahab can't use the new ball. Gun barrel straight bowler like Gul/IK/Junaid, just have sheer pace.
Sami too isn't a trundler.

Asif was a special talent. IK would get smashed in Aus and NzAsif was arround 130k. Sami was 150k but got phanta. IK is 135-140 and in Australia NZ will do every well. He has swing
Seems nothing special. If he was operating at a 140+ he would have been promising but given his skill set this pace just does not cut it.
I can't fathom why some posters can't understand that bowling slightly short of a length in the uae is gonna result in about 5kph knocked off the speed gun reading immediately as the ball is gonna stick a little in the slow pitch. Therefore we don't have an accurate understanding of imrans true pace as even Mitch seems about 5-10kph slower. Except of course if he just takes the pitch out of the question by bowling low full tosses which he won't do.
So he is not a trundler by any means. He's bowled out swingers and indippers and reversed it while keeping it tight and picked up three good wickets. More importantly for the first time in ages it looks like we have a well synchronised bowling attack and nobody is a weak link. Yes he isn't like Shohaib, amir or asif but they were once in a generation type of bowlers.
What more do you kids want?
