Imran Riaz Khan arrested and locked up for attempting to go to Hajj

The people who are running it are making this country more like a jail than a normal place. No wonder why more and more people are leaving Pakistan now. Pathetic.

Judiciary is sleeping as usual.
 
I didn't think I could be shocked and surprised anymore but after watching a man stopped from going to Hajj. This is a country created in the name of Islam but even kaffirs are not this evil
 
Hajj and Umrah has been politicised by these goons.

They would use visits to the holy sites to meet up with their exiled family.

And now they are in power they are stopping others from fulfilling their religious obligations.
 
A Lahore district court on Wednesday remanded anchorperson Imran Riaz, who was arrested last night, in police custody for one day in a fraud case

Riaz was taken into custody at the Allama Iqbal International Airport late Tuesday night while he was departing for Saudi Arabia for Haj. The visuals of the arrest, which showed the journalist clad in an ihram, went viral on social media.

He was later presented before Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Kamran Zafar by the Nishtar Town police. According to the first information report (FIR), a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, Riaz has been accused of abuse of trust. It invoked Section 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

During the hearing today, the police sought seven-day physical remand of Riaz. The prosecutor stated that the anchorperson had borrowed Rs0.25 billion from the complainant but he never returned the money.

Meanwhile, Riaz’s lawyer, Mian Ashfaq, alleged that the case against his client was fake. “The complainant was an agent at Maryam Nawaz’s polling station,” he contended.

After hearing the arguments from both sides, the judge reserved the verdict. Later, he granted police one-day physical remand of Riaz.

Petitions filed in LHC

Earlier in the day, Riaz’s lawyer Azhar Siddique filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking details of the first information report (FIR) under which the anchorperson was arrested.

The petition, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, stated that Riaz was to depart for Saudi Arabia for Haj from Lahore when “many civil-dresses officers from various authorities came and arrested him without providing any details” and “took him to an undisclosed location”.

“No information has surfaced as to which FIR was used in order to apprehend the Applicant on the eve of 11.06.2024, therefore, it is the need of the day that the respondents be summoned by this court and they inform this court as to which FIRs have now been registered, of course, frivolously, against the applicant due to which he was illegally and arbitrarily arrested,” it said.

We were brought up with idea that our establishment guys are great planners and are very strategic in their thinking. What we know now is that they are total buffoons with no idea what they are doing and are just throwing darts in the hope that something works. To stop an unconvicted person from performing Hajj, especially when they know the cases are fake

Imran Riaz Khan is lucky in a way, the awaam are more aware, awake. The establishment have to tip-toe around keeping him quiet, had this been 5 years ago, he'd be bundled into a car, never to be seen again.
 
The witness apparently used in the fake FIR to stop IRK from going to Hajj in the Islamic Republic has said that he was no witness and it was all fake. IF you thought Munir and Co can't go any lower, well they have and they will go lower. These are sewer rats.

Anchorperson Imran Riaz released after Lahore court discharges him in fresh case​

The Lahore police on Friday released anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan after a local court discharged him from a fresh case in which he was arrested a day ago.

Riaz was taken into custody at the Allama Iqbal International Airport late on Tuesday night in a case of monetary fraud.

The visuals of the arrest, which showed the journalist clad in an ihram as he was departing for Saudi Arabia for Haj, had gone viral on social media, with the PTI calling for his release.

The police had sought his seven-day physical remand in Wednesday’s hearing before the Model Town Court judicial magistrate.

The prosecutor had said that the anchorperson had borrowed Rs0.25 billion from the complainant but never returned the money. After hearing arguments from both sides, Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Kamran Zafar reserved the verdict and granted police Riaz’s one-day physical remand.

Announcing the verdict on Thursday, the judge had discharged the anchorperson from the fraud case.

However, Riaz was later arrested outside the court in a separate case concerning interference with the police, which was registered at the Sarwar Road police station and said he had damaged a barrier near the Lahore airport.

Today, the anchorperson was presented before Judicial Magistrate Hafiz Kashif while Advocates Mian Ali Ashfaq and Rana Maroof appeared as his counsels.

The prosecution sought Riaz’s physical remand of 10 days “on the ground that remaining accused persons are to be arrested” based on the anchorperson pointing them out.

After hearing arguments from both sides and perusing the case record, the judicial magistrate discharged Riaz from the case.

In the written order, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, the judge noted that there was “nothing on the record to suggest that the accused was driving a vehicle at the time of alleged occurrence”.

It observed that no statement of any of the eyewitnesses was recorded either.

“No evidence is available on the record to suggest that the accused Imran Riaz Khan used any assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duties,” the judge said, noting that the record was also silent about how the anchor had obstructed a public servant’s duties.

Observing that the evidence against Riaz was “deficient”, the judge ordered his release if he was not wanted in any other case.

Subsequently, the anchorperson was released by the Sarwar Road police.

Ashfaq released visuals of the anchor after his release on social media platform X.

Maroof said those who had concocted false cases against Riaz were defeated.

The fact that anyone can be arrested on a daily basis for fake cases is the gift Crooked Isa and the mafia. This way you could imprison someone for life but never need a conviction. Qazi will leave office one day and will need purdah from PK people for all his unjust actions

So these cases amazingly appear just before he leaves the country but then go nowhere afterwards. The guy they claimed as witness came out and said he wasn't a witness to anything. So a fake witness disowns the crooks that fakely made him a witness 😅😅😅😅😅😅
 
Imran Riaz leaves Pakistan for London after 'torturous ordeal'

Former anchor and YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan has reached London after leaving Pakistan, his family has confirmed to Geo News.

Riaz also confirmed the same through a post on his X account and said his long journey was treacherous, dangerous and full of ordeals.

He went 'missing' for months last year before being recovered in September 2023. The YouTuber has moved abroad despite claiming that come what may, he would not leave the country.

Riaz thanked Qasim Suri, the former national assembly deputy speaker, for convincing him to leave Pakistan “for the sake of Pakistan”. He also shared a picture of himself in a mountain area with an injury on his face.

Riaz's relative said: “He is a patriotic Pakistani who has left the country for Pakistan. It had become impossible for him to live normally. He was facing serious dangers to his life. He is lucky that he’s alive and out. He will return to Pakistan as soon as the situation is right."

In a social media interview, Riaz said he had undergone a great ordeal to safely exit from Pakistan where he has several cases registered against him.

Riaz said he was the second person who had fled Pakistan from a ground route and not through air travel. He didn’t disclose how and which route he took.

He said he was aware that the administration was looking for him, so he had to continuously upload his vlogs and stay active on social media so as not to alert the administration.

Riaz said he had to travel for several weeks by foot in hilly and barren areas to ensure his safe exit. According to him he was also attacked by wild animals and suffered serious injuries.

So why would he need to work at a takeaway?

Even if he is working at a takeaway and managed to escape a kidnapping or assassination attempt, with the help of someone or by whatever means, then, as Pakistanis, our concern should be about why he had to leave the country in the first place, not about where he’s working now.
