Time will tell.

It's a tough ask for one man especially in Pakistan cricket.

May have bitten off more than he can chew.

It doesnt help with no professional coaching background either.

Lack of credibility go hand in hand in Pakistan Cricket.

Agree with this. With professional coaches, people are always mindful of their previous success and the credibility they therefore bring with them.

With a player coach who has absolutely no experience at lower levels never mind international level, every failure is seen as proof that they should have never got the job in the first place. And those who take this view are, in my opinion, in the right.

The added issue is that there is no spin-bowling coach or batting coach.

So in effect Misbah is doing 4 roles.

Personally, I don't mind Misbah having this dual-role position as he will be able to handpick players that are not only needed for the national teams' sake but will also be given a proper chance to perform. Right now, the problem is, however, that when Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad are selected and being played in games, that gives the notion that they will get a proper chance in multiple series' (meaning, there's a chance maybe at least one of them go to Australia)... which would mean potential repeat performances of the first two t20s vs SL in those future series'.

Its worth a try if the person is honest but a disaster if the person like Misbah who will bring his friends again and again in the name of new, talent and experience.

Misbah is not good enough for any position. He should be given a position in First Class .

Didn't knew that misbah's stupidity has spread like a wildfire at international level lol, have some shame dude just leave the selector role atleast
