India 12 Pakistan 0 in all World Cup events

India have beaten us 7 times in all World Cup events and we have yet to beat them once.

The question is why do we always bottle it when we play them.
Cant the players handle the pressure?

So many times we have had the game in the bag but have somehow manage to lose the plot and succumb under pressure.
Many of these games we have lost is when chasing a total.

Are the Indian bowlers too good for our batsmen that we always fail to chase these par scores on good decks.

When will get over the demons and finally beat them in a World Cup.

When will this sequence ever end?

I am really fed up of this winning streak. My Indian friends keep reminding of this whenever we play them.
 
The streak will end some time, it may very well be the next time we meet in a WC (InshAllah).

Just need to get the brain sorted and go for the kill, try to treat it like any other match.

tell them to have a full series in England if they really think this stat does justice to our team compare to theirs...
 
The streak will be broken someday.

What would suck for Pak is that they will have to wait for 4 more years to have a chance at it again :sachin
 
Our batsman are mentally weak and not aggressive enough. We need to bring in young players who are aggressive and in a way arrogant/unafraid (A Shahzad) and stick with them. Drop YK and Misbah and start rebuilding our batting.

We better soon as my Indian mates are driving round the bend. I have nothing to say to them . Just ashamed of this pathetic feeble performance yet again
 
It's 6-0, not 7-0. The T20 group game was a tie, and it went down as a tie in records. The super over was only to decide who gets the point.

And I agree with a point of The Hulk, may be we need to get in some characters of our own. :ahmed
 
If you're including T20s then also include Champions Trophy and World Series <_<

if it bothers you, just know that they are going through a golden era which will end sooner or later, and trust me when I say this when it does end, we will be there to rub it in!
 
Part of it may be the attitude of the Pakistani players going into the match. Before this match, there were several comments made by Pakistani players, whereas the Indians were silent.
 
Inshallah, we will open our account in a World Cup final somewhere down the line :)
 
And 6 of the 7 times pakistan had a better team atleast on paper. This is this first time India was stronger team on paper.

I think it comes down to key moment or moments in a match where a pakistani player makes bone headed mistakes . Razzaq dropping tendulkar in 03, half the team droping tendulkar today, Misbahs brain fart in the t20 final. Sohail getting into an argument with Prasad when Pakistan was well ahead.

if we stop to take the barrat of brainless seniors then there is only chances to beat them easily!

every single time these so called seniors cost the match to us against them!
 
We do not score enough runs in these big matches v India in the World Cup.

A top score of 273 in 2003 which was 40-50 short

This is such a common misconception in my opinion.. that somehow aggression and young blood will win games. Point in case, Tendulkar and Dhoni who are stark opposites to that theory.

Match winning consistently only happens after prolonged efforts to keep improving on the game.. thinking through and playing out various strategies.. having a detailed plan of training, practice and above all attitude.

It cannot be changed overnight.. it'll take consistency in team structure.. proper help and encouragement.. and a free mind to gain confidence and consolidation in play.
 
My fifth India v Pakistan World Cup match watched

I was hopeful at the end of the day that the result would be right for me for the first time since watching in 1992

I was shocked by the ridiculous fielding which had me fuming

I was shocked by Hafeez, Shafiq, Younis and Razzaq dismissals

Our batsmen constantly bottle it in the Indo-Pak games in World Cups.

This game reminded me of Bangalore 1996: a great batting start and stupid batting thereafter.

On the biggest day of them all, my country and team let me down.

After all the other defeats, I said- next time. I don't care too much now about next times as we are beaten in the head-mentally- before we play India in the World Cup.

I thought it didn't mean as much to me: until I went upstairs, talked to my girlfriend and burst into tears.

Pakistan, I love you...but learn to love me too. :(

My indian friends are loving it also. I had to switch off my phone since they were rubbing it in big time.
Some of them dont even follow cricket that much but when it comes to India vs Pakistan in a World cup they take big interest and love to rub it in your nose.
Its a bitter pill to swallow when you keep losing to India in WC

I think you should take a break from watching Pak cricket.
I have had enough and wont be following them any time soon. Once again they let me down big time due to buckling under pressure.
 
It's funny that none of you seem to recognize that we played like a top team pretty much throughout and reached the SEMI-FINAL of a WORLD CUP! Cheer up fellas!

whose fault is it that he was dropped 6 times. The bottom line is that India are in WC final and they are 7-0 up in the biggest event of this sport.
Unfortunately the Indians had the last laugh yet again.
Mark my words it will be even more depressing when they win the WC.
I am pretty sure that they will win the World cup now.

Have seen us beat NZ in 1992 and 1999 semis.

But the ultimate was to beat India in 2011 semis in India.

I am proud of the boys' performance up until our batting today.

It's not just a cricket match. Feels like a bullet into the stomach.
 
Different team, different circumstances. Nobody gave this team a chance of reaching the semis before the start of the tournament. We silenced our critics, gave India a tough time in their own homeground in a World Cup semi-final... and had our 2 most senior players not failed us at such a vital stage, the victory would've been ours.

Sometimes, you've gotta accept, that in sports, the other team is just going to play better than you.

You just pick yourself up and look forward to the next game at that stage.

I dont see it that way.
Not our batting. Not a single century.
Have not chased anything above 200 this WC.
Our batting is frail as ever.
Collapsed yet again today on a flat deck when chasing a par score.
Giving India the 7th victory over us in a WC and handing them the World cup on a plate.
Indian fans have had the last laugh. My Indian friends are loving it and love rubbing 7-0 in

The bottom line is india were not as dominant and amazing as was predicated before the match

They looked lacklustre and would have lost if it wasn't for the 9 lives tendulkar got

It might be if's and buts for you but to me pakistan outperformed india

At the end of the day winning the WC is the ultimate prime Goal.

They are now in the final and cant see them not winning the World Cup.

It doesnt matter if Teenda was dropped a million times.

We should look into our own deficiences and try to rectify our problem of doing Tatti in our pants every time we face India in a WC.

Time and again we play shocking cricket against them and hand victory to them on a plate.

Our players should take the brunt for this and are entirely to blame especially the seniors who have let the nation down big time when it mattered most

Pakistan played v well today and made the indian batting look like tatti

It wasn't the easy victory for india predicted by the experts and pakistan did the country proud.
If you are pakistani stop with the self hating and self flaggelation

or if you accept here in full glory that the 69 matches Pak won was because of if;s and whats and were lucky and were not the better team?

I watched the match at an Indian friend's place. He tried to rub it in initially, but when he saw that he wasn't affecting my pride one bit and that I was actually proud of this team for making it this far, he didn't find any interest in continuing his mockery and stopped laughing.

People only rub it in if you let them do it...

Of Course im a pakistani but we need to face facts. Thats the only way we will improve. 6 catches were dropped. Pathetic stuff. Gul was taken to the cleaners.
Our Batsmen made Munaf look like Lee. All our batsmen gifted our wickets. At the end of the day we should not bottled it against mediocre Indian bowlers on a flat deck.
Why cant we chase more than a score of 250 under pressure?
we should have chased it down comfortably

We should never have had to chase so many

The Main dissapointments were the catches, gul and misbahs slow s/r

But on the positive side we got 16 indian wickets, the youngsters played well and we gave india a real fright and even dominated them for most of the match and this after we were written off as rubbish before the match

Our bowlers are the ones that have won all our games. Our batsmen once again throughout the tournamant were inept. Not one century in the WC. That says it all.

Our senior batsmen really need to look hard at themselves and call it a day and hang their gloves for good.

I can understand your sentiments ..even stronger Pakistan teams have lost to India in previous World Cups .. Have been watching cricket for 27 odd years and I am afraid it will take an Imran like personality to turn the tables on India in WCs ..If this set up , mindset and corruption continues , Pakistan will not beat India in a world cup game for next 100 years .You can see the fear of losing to India in their eyes . This World cup has Dhoni;s name written all over it .

It isn't the fear of losing. I've seen all of our defeats in WC matches to India and in most cases it looks like loss of interest or desire in the eyes. The Pakistan players often look like they are just going through the motions in these matches while they look much more up for it in lesser games.

Indians are still horning/lighting fireworks here at 12am, so quite difficult to take.

I know, much stronger teams have lost to them in World Cups and they were much weaker than they are now (India) but today's was the closest out of the 5!

Even Imran lost v India in 1992

I could be wrong but this is the first time we've still had a middle order batsman at the crease in the final over of the 2nd innings and we've still lost by a huge margin.
 
no- shoaib malik once scored a typical 50 in SA and we got hammered

Not sure if this was the closest and yes Imran too lost in 1992 but then Pakistan was virtually losing to every team at that stage of the tournament .They lost to WI by 10 wickets .However - I can tell you that he instilled fear in the mind of Indians just by his captaincy . It took a new generation of Indian batsmen to heal the mental scars that India suffered at the hands of Imran .

Everything happens for the first time...like host country winning the world cup this time. In this lifetime or the next, Pak will beat India one day in WC that is inevitable fact :D
 
At least Pak beat India in the Champions Trophy in 2004 and 2009.

WCs - India has totally murdered us.
 
When are the T20 Cup groups going to be released? We need redemption.
 
I just can't understand it ... Everytime we play India I have hopes that it will change, but we just can't cross the line and we succumb to pressure. We have been close - 2003, two T20 World Cup games, and yesterday - but can't get that monkey off the back.

But for now this loss is going to hurt a lot more as it was a semi final of a World Cup.
 
You guys are forgetting the most important World Cup Stat of all at this time....

They just play better cricket and handle pressure a lot better than our players and the most important fact is that they have Tendulkar. As soon as Sachin retires our chances of beating them will go up by at least 50% instantly.

He is still the backbone of their batting once he is gone it will take years for India to produce another opening batsman who can control the game and play a long innings, they will certainly struggle for a good period of time in finding another opener.
 
just hurts to even think about this...T20 '07 was a killer this one is even more painful...
