Bangalis are trying to gift their wickets and Indians trying to field like crap to give more chances to Bangalis.
 
Vijay Shankar is decent bowler. He is bowling between 130-140k's. He is not a trundelr.

Just bowled 143k delivery to get Mahmudullah.
 
If Vijay Shankar can contribute with ball it will be great for Indian team .. quality batsman with good technique can play big shots.. Scored big runs in A tours

I'm curious to see his batting abilities than his bowling. He looks decent with the ball, but his batting is what would turn into an X factor if he can hit big. Let's see.
 
This team should stop playing T20 - utter embarrassment. And, they are paid $2000/T20 ........ should made to play free and earn twice for every win.

This is what this tournament is about. Unearthing a few talents.

If Vijay Shankar can bat well (which is his stronger suit), then he will be a valuable piece for Indian LOI cricket. Hopefully he succeeds with the bat too.

So far his bowling is pretty decent. He is not a 120k trundler that I thought. He has decent enough pace and he seems to be a thinking bowler.

It's mind boggling that despite continues failures of this Bangali team, they keep selecting the players who got them to that 10th rank. Why not just go for radical change in the selections for a couple of series and see if it's working or the old guys should be brought back because there's no talent in Bangladesh for T20.

Maybe their bench strength isn't as strong as people think? But I guess when you're losing games anything you do is criticised one way or the other. But yeah, as you stated changing some players around may give them the lift they need.

One player I can't get my head around is Sarkar, who I feel is just an awful option. He had the patch where people genuinely called him the next Ganguly :P
 
Probably 20 short, even 150 would have made a good game; still it can be a close game if we can strike early.
 
Very boring cricket. And Indians taking it too casually. No discipline at all.
 
Mediocrity and Bangladesh cricket has become almost synonymous. Yet another shambolic performance from our boys.
 
The Bangladeshi photoshoppers need to work overtime after this "performance".
 
Rohit Sharma is the most laziest batsman ever. He doesn't even move his legs. Absolutely terrible footwork.
 
Rohit cannot even bash Lankans and Banglas now. He is badly out of Form.

When out of Form, luck also deserts them.

At least others can get a chance. Hopefully we will see Shankar and Sundar also gets a chance.
 
Pant needs a good mentor and teach him that you cannot score a boundary of every ball. There is something called singles too.

Uncontrolled aggression is a recipe for disaster.

He's gone already. Absolutely no game awareness and control. Laughing at few folks who called him the successor of Dhoni. Swinging his bat at everything without using his brains. Turning into a total disappointment this guy.
 
Pant gone. AGain trying to hit the ball out of the park with no foot movement. He needs to learn fast or he will disappear.

Its hard to get chances in the senior side and when he got it, he is playing like a headless chicken.

Agreed. He has no game awareness. Wonder why he was batting as if it is the 19th over. Seriously brainless display of batting.
 
Sooner or later you have look for an alternative for MSD. Dhoni is still the best keeper batsman in ODI's. But his style of batting is not good enough for T20 cricket and he was never a good T20 batsman.

If not Pant, it should be Ishan Kishan. You need an attacking keeper batsman. Not someone who comes in and score 25(25) innings.

True that. People are waiting for the opportunities and a batsman like KL Rahul is not getting an opportunity in playing 11 and this pant guy is really misusing this golden opportunity. I would love to see Samson or Ishan in his place very soon. If not, we can make Rahul as the wicketkeepr in T20s. I'm sure he wouldn't do any worse than this.

Really boring match.. and still I see more posts here than on the PSL match.. I think all posters are getting bored with these T20 matches..

I know Rahane is not fit for LOI's but if he really wants to cement his place in the team he should take up wicket keeping just like Rahul Dravid. It helped him a lot when he used to bat after keeping.

Vijay Shankar looks good. Not express but is tall and well built.

Bowls with a really nice action and tall release and has shown control.

Appears a confident cricketer.. want to see him with the bat next

Half of the team - Karthik, Pant, Unadkut, Raina (looks unfit, a mystery how he overcame yoyo test), rohit (less said the better) - looks they are playing exhibition matches. Loose body language, poor execution of their skills. If this team had to be sent it was better India U 19 WC team would have won 7/10 times against this Indian team.

Nobody seems to be interested. They know that whatever they do will be forgotten in few days (Hours???)

That might be true with IPL around the corner. But that is true with any tournament. Some five-for or four-four and a very fast half-century could cement someone place and create some competition in the regular five of Indian team - apart from the above mentioned. Also, I feel kohli in batting and bumra and kuldeep in bowling should be forcibly rested in 3-4 ODI/t20 series every eyar so selectors and viewers would know the true value of each player. Not willing to throw a challenge to the regular/ the lack of spirit from the newbies - pant, vijay shankar, unadkut (a half-tracker, I know but so was Ashish Nehra) bothers me.

This is not IPL that you are expecting these players to give their 100% and play with a positive body language.

Normally, I do not agree with most of your posts - may be due to my innate (blinded by) liking for Indian cricket team I guess. This one I agree 200% with you. Btw, I think you are Indian Mamoon :)

Exactly true. You do well in IPL, then there will be thousands of people to appreciate your effort, millions more on TV enjoying the show they are putting up, good name and money for yourself, opportunity to become a superstar, and hopefully a shot at a place in Indian team. What is there at stake in this tournament? I am sure, most of those who are selected for this tour knows they won't make it big in Intl cricket, may be Lokesh and Pant might be an exception. Stakes are much lower and the tournament is a very low key affair almost like a charity from BCCI for SLC

Pandya has more pace and I see that Shankar is a clever bowler. Did not let BD batsmen slog him easily. Also Shankar also clocked a few deliveries over 140k's.

I would say bowling wise, they both are equal. Have to see SHankar batting. Hope he gets to bat in the next match.
