India [224/8] defeat Afghanistan [213] by 11 runs in the 28th match of World Cup 2019

Afghans have been having close matches with us since 2012 T20 wc..we need to do
Something about it
 
Good chance for Afghans to get some quick runs against Shami, seen him often lazy in the final spells.

I think, India will edge past them in last overs. This wicket suits Afghan’s game & they are competing at per for most part of the game, but short in experience to close games. In Asia cup also on their favourite track they lost 2 & tied one game, all 3 they could have won with experience.
 
Shikar absence is huge!
I fully respect kohli and sharma as odi bats, but when it comes to global icc tournaments, shikar is the best indian bat and one of the best in the world!

I' m getting the feeling its going to be another australia vs NZ final!

Well we do plan but there also a big problem about when openers go for cheap, dadaji comes in at 4-5 and starts playing 30 ball 10 runs regardless of what kind of pitch it is,also puts pressure on other batsman and if you notice,batsman playing with dhoni starts to play at low SR and around kohli they atleast try run a ball

Just feel as a neutral...tommorow's match will be an awesome cracker....both pak and saf can not afford to loose...pak need to play without fear and just go for it....good luck...
 
Afghanistan are such a poor batting side, i can't beieve that got rid of M.shazad! If he was here , the match may well of been over by now!

But even T20 2012 , we had a similar issue

They both will play for the loss
It will be a competition for who is the poorer team than the other

SA will win, because they are out of the tournament and will have no tension., and will probably play their best cricket!
Pak will be nervous and will perform terribly!
End of the road for pak wc 2019!

Maybe after the tournament we can have this discussion but they played well this match still can go anyway

I haven’t seen one wrong call he’s made. Yes umpires call feels bad when it goes against you but it’s not a wrong decision. Maybe that last wide clipped something but that’s it. In fact his lbw not out was brilliant
 
Proper tense one day match.

Refreshing given the glut of ODIs in England where every other ball goes five rows back in the stands.

Afghan’s are within striking distance now & Nabi is set - today Rashid has a chance to prove what he is made of.
 
Why do people pay SanjuManju to talk? He has to be the worst commentator ever to get a gig.
 
Afg has a long way to go to be a competitive side in ODIs. Their batting is so weak. They should win this match after restricting India to such a low total. But their batsmen are giving it away
