What's new

India (254/6) thump New Zealand (251/7) by 4 wickets to win the ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Thank god we at least lost the toss. Sooks would have accused us of even rigging the toss.

THIS IS WHY I HATE HIM

@mikeypbadana86

Choker for life

Eff off now

We can replace this guy easy

Easy

Easyyyy.

can you talk cricket/cricketing terms? were you sleeping with a pollow when he steered India to victory in SEMIS? is semis not a knock out match?

If you were listening to Sunil gavaskars commentary, "The shot kohli played should be played a batter who is batting on 20 or 30 runs". He was man of the match against PAK , followed by Man of the match against Australia.

He was playing well on backfoot/with caution in matches against PAK/AUS. I think, instead of resetting/refocus he tried to continue from his pervious form from previous match. I am not sure, if he was so casual/over confident playing across the line.

Batters early on the crease tend to be tentative. Think of this as googly early on in the innings where the feet were not moving great.

We can replace this guy easy?
for being the man of the match in t20 final 2024 and man of the match in 2025 champions trophy semis

Choker for life ? As in you are hater of kohli for life?

Explain and justify as to why the following fall under category of choker!!!! Sharma played in semis, was he choking ? do not say a 25 odd is match winning.

We can easily replace kohli
He is really nothing special. He is useless in tests and we all know that

You know? Real cricket

In t20 yea ok he is decent there but we have tonnes of quality t29 players now

Only in odi is where we need him but even here we have jaiswal, pant, sudarshan, tilak all ready to replace our old farts

And he averages 29 in world cups Please stop odi events

Your test team got destroyed by NZ and Australia and missed 3 opportunities for wtc in a row.

Atm it's not a great test side and bumrah masks how weak it truly is.

Just a home bully and now it's not even that
I specifically said 2015-21 which is the Kohli captaincy era.

That team won all home test series, won twice in Aus and drew once in England (plus wins in SL, WI etc but those not that important). During that duration India had the best away W/L ratio (and only team to have it above 1 at 1.307. Aus were second with 0.733). Home record was 25-2. That was the greatest Asian test side in history and a top test side overall.

Great teams go through declines.

Ponting's Aus team at the end was defeated 0-2 in Ind and lost 1-2 to SA at home in 2008. Guys like Hayden, Brett Lee, Clarke, Ponting, Hussey etc were still there.

The SA team with Amla, ABDV, Steyn, Morkel, Philander, DuPlessis lost 0-3 in Ind in 2015 and lost 1-2 to Eng at home in 2016.

The team that lost to NZ and Aus was clearly a team in transition. Similar to the decling Aus and SA teams a lot of the core of the 15-21 side was gone (Ishant, Pujara, Rahane) and the others were aged (Kohli, Rohit, Ashwin etc)

Test team right now is going transition which is fine.

All top teams do that.

The 2007-11 team was also great (Eng, NZ win, SA draw, SL draw). Four years of rebuilding then started dominating from 2015 onwards.

I have absolutely no doubt that the Indian team will go on another great test run in a few years.
