Looks like India won the 2026 Mickey Mouse World T20. Possibly the only World Cup they can win currently. :qdkcheeky

World can now move on to the real World Cups (2027 ODI WC and 2027 WTC final). :inti
You're acting like we are some loser team like Bangladesh that haven't won a World Cup. We have 2. Get that through your head. Two ODI WOrld Cups. Three T20 WCs and several Champions Trophy. Learn some respect.

With all due respect, NZ is not really a gun T20 side. A freak Allen knock and a nervous batting performance put South Africa out of the tournament.

I’m not even sure if congratulations are in order here, considering how much of a foregone conclusion this World Cup was.
No team would have competed with India today in this kind of form.

Yup. They were so confident the way they came out to bat. I felt the pressure more during the game vs West Indies. That was probably the most intense for me personally. It progressively got more relaxed with the SF and Final. Wasn't happy at the break today when I saw too many Indian (batsmen) players laughing like they'd already won. But anyway, it is done :dhoni

Sanju should be MOTM. Bumrah should be MOTS

Sanju should be both MOTM and MOTS.

Sanju did most of the heavy lifting. Without Sanju, India could've been out in Super Eight. :inti

Bumrah got the wickets when games were already won. Story of Bumrah. He is one stat-padder.

For all those sickos who said jazz-boom was hiding when he didnt play the two or three tests in England , for those who said he only turns up when its easy....it was for such moments and such tournaments....consider yourself to be on the receiving end of an epic face slam :sendoff

Bumrah should be rewarded. Would have lost games without his bowling. Sanju deserves it too

Bangladesh have been robbed by BCCICC. With quality spin arsenal at their disposal, BD would have surely stopped India.

It's all good. This is a Mickey Mouse World T20. This event doesn't have the same prestige as ODI WC or WTC. :inti

Very glad this T20 bakwaas is over fow now. No more T20 event till 2028. We can enjoy some real cricket for the next 2 years. :inti

Aren't you grateful Modi didn't turn up?
we would have won irrespective. And if we didnt win, i would'nt never down the elected head of my country and definately not on this site, something which certain low lives delighted in doing when we lost in 2023 and happily ignored when he received the same team in 2024 after the WC win.
Keep your criticism apt for the occasion, mauka and dastoor...this whole panauti thing is a product of a mind that loves self flagellation and is at its happiest when getting epic snotted..

The match effectively ended when the New Zealand captain won the toss and still elected to feel first.

This has to be investigated

Arshdeep: "I just ran off to apologise to Mitchell. The ball reverse-swung when I threw it and it hit him. Right now it feels great but the emotions will sink in the next 2-4 days. This is a very good team with a lot of match-winners, and the result is cherry on the cake. As a bowler, our role is to restrict them to under 250 if we score 250 and when bowling first, it's just to restrict them to as little as possible."

In other news, one amongst the same vegetarian Indians you were tagging, early in this thread - Lakshya Sen became the runner up in the Mens finals in the All England Open - Badminton .....

Not you, but several other Jaahil haters have said we can only play cricket...lol - another comeuppance to those bigots... :Dah

The 3 sixes by Archer after the game was dusted gave everyone a false sense of comfort for a 250 target. Eng technically lost by 25+ runs. No one's chasing 250 in a crunch game.
Yes, that is true. However, 250 will become normalized scores in T20 in the upcoming years at least in Indian conditions.

T20 harder to win than dead format odi

Anyway tests is number 1

World ranking number 1 in tests not wtc

Why hide from it dude? We're so lucky he's not around to take credit and glory for a tournament won by a bunch of hardworking sportsmen.

It'll set a pattern now. He won't dare to attend a final again.

If he had apologized straight away to Mitchell, nobody would have said anything. The fact he walked away without apologising & SKY had to step in doesn’t sit well. Anyways!

Special thanks to Modi ji. :yk :inti

India look set to create three new records today

- First team to win back to back T20 World cups
- First team to win at home
- Third T20 World Cup win ( the most by any team)
#4

255 is now the highest team score in a T20 World Cup Final

only Indian, English and may be Aussie team on good day are score 250 most of the time. England score 300 in SA in thier home country. No on cried then. Next WC is in England and you will see these scores by these 3 teams more often.
Just like 300 was scored more often by Aus in 2000s as they were so far ahead of time.
BD players are weak and meek.
