Wrong
Aus suck in t20
That’s why they can’t win much

They want to take it seriously for ipl contracts but they ARENT GOOD ENOUGH

That’s the difference

In odi in the dead format they are good ofcourse.

Tests however is the ultimate format. Right now India and England are in transition. Only SA is solid and Aus somewhat are ok.

And why bring Asians will do well? Only our neighbours India have done well. No one else has.

India is not in transition in tests . It's in destruction phase thanks to GGs absolute lack of real world test credentials as a player and coach in tests.

All 11 Indian players are picked on pure merit. The result is for all to see. This is the only good thing Gambhir has done, removed that senior culture. Rahul Dravid would have surely included KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Jadeja etc.
Shreyas actually good tbh .

India exorcised the demons of 2023 by emphatically defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in Ahmedabad to successfully defend their T20 World Cup title.

On the very ground where they had crumbled under pressure against Australia in the 50-over final two and a half years ago, the co-hosts raced to 255/5—two more than their total in Thursday's semi-final against England—before a roaring crowd of over 100,000.

The top three made full use of near-perfect batting conditions: Sanju Samson smashed 89 off 46 balls, Abhishek Sharma contributed a 21-ball 52, and Ishan Kishan added 54 from 25 deliveries.

Their total might have been even higher if not for Jimmy Neesham, who took three wickets in the 16th over, though Shivam Dube’s late flourish of 24 ensured New Zealand’s relief was brief.

For the visitors, Tim Seifert stood out with 52 from 26 balls, but wickets fell at regular intervals, including Finn Allen, the semi-final centurion, who was dismissed for nine in the third over.

The brilliant Jasprit Bumrah dazzled the lower order, finishing with figures of 4-15 as New Zealand were bowled out for 159 in just 19 overs.

With this win, India became the first team to successfully defend a men’s T20 World Cup, having now claimed three consecutive major men’s white-ball titles: the 2023 World Cup, the 2024 edition, and the 2025 Champions Trophy.

For New Zealand, this defeat adds to a string of near misses, following losses to India in Dubai last year and heartbreaks in the 2015, 2019, and 2021 World Cup finals.

Looks like India won the 2026 Mickey Mouse World T20. Possibly the only World Cup they can win currently. :qdkcheeky

World can now move on to the real World Cups (2027 ODI WC and 2027 WTC final). :inti
I guess the only saviour for the world is the Desi Ashes coming up in Bangladesh very soon will help the world recover from this setback and move on :salute

Congratulations to neighbours on winning the worst World Cup ever.

Some farcical moments of the tournament:

- Bangladesh not playing.
- Scotland replacing Bangladesh instead of Jersey (Jersey finished ahead of Scotland in the qualifiers).
- Indian vendor putting used coke back in the bottle.
- India receiving venue perks and scheduling perks.
- Archer giving away 61 runs in 4 overs against India. England ended up losing by 7 runs and missing out on the final.
- Most boring final in World T20's history.

:inti

2027 first. :inti

2031 is pretty far away. A lot can change till then.

India have started to decline in ODI. Lost to NZ B team at home recently.

It is only in T20 where they are dominating currently.
Kohli and rohit is active in 2027 soo win is guaranteed.....script is already in motion

You know I grew up in chennai and never knew anyone with that surname , so I was surprised as well when i came to know he was from Chennai.

Chakravarthy Raja Gopal AcharY - commonly called Rajaji - the last govt general of India - is one example i can think off

Boring, one sided final. Add to that a pathetic one sided crowd and a soulless stadium. Yawn!!

Exactly.

This is why I do not like ICC events held in India. It feels like an Indian home series. The World Cup vibe goes missing.

England and South Africa are the best venues for hosting ICC events. :inti

A poster with 587 posts is calling me "Mickey Mouse of the forum". :qdkcheeky

Where do these rookies come from?
Calling someone a rookie while sitting on 60k posts is like a guy living in a basement mocking people for visiting :ROFLMAO:

Imagine flexing postcount from an online forum like it’s an achievement. Dude, you really need to go out more and try to have a life. :yk3

At any rate, Congratulations to team IND and all it's fans. I hope to not see any T20 anytime soon and time to focus on ODIs.
If India wins T20, I will focus only odi, the real cricket. If India wins Odi, I will only watch test matches the real cricket..If India wins test championship, then I will watch only Gilli Dunda, the real cricket..

Hahahahaha!
