Congratulations India, looks like this team is winning the World Cup. This is the most professional Indian side I have seen.

The consistency of their bowlers is remarkable.I have to say though.Bar Kohli and Sharma the Indian batting is not good at all.Doesnt inspire confidence on a consistent basis. However still good enough to rack 200+ scores and the bowling is worldclass so it covers up pretty well.
Still the toughest team out of all considering their professionalism and execution of plans.
Indian bowling is just too good. Only England and Aussies can stop them from lifting this wc. India really need to get Shankar out and get some good batsman in.
Other teams playing poorly. India has 4 passenger in the team. Bowling is what saving us.
Are they yet?
No team with 11 points is assured of semis yet.
this conversation is best had after pakistan qualifies for the world cup. considering there are two games - bangladesh and sri lanka where pakistan faces opposition that is also competing for the last semi-final position, you are in for a challenge.Never mind the if's and what's or who was injured when Pak thrashed you! If you keep going on about past results then I will do so as well. I believe India defeated Pak in the round robin stage of the Champions Trophy before losing in the final. If Pak does make it to the semi's India will be facing a different monster this time. You still have plenty of spinners that can be mauled as well.
This is the same Bumrah who gave credit to first class cricket for his development.![]()

“In 2013, when I joined Mumbai Indians as a 19-year-old, Malinga had already been there for three-four seasons, and I learnt a lot from him. For someone who hadn’t played first class cricket, talking to him and learning in the process was very valuable.”

England is a crap team. They get exposed on any non flat pitch. What a team. Only England can stop them from winning the World Cup.
No we have culture of only giving chances to youngsters until thry reach certain age that is why none of young playes who have performed in ipl are given chances any team would have already given likes of pant ,prithvi atleast 15-20 games by now.
When you have talent and they r expected and yet not given chances they get ruined ,
Possible change should be prithvi shaw opening with rohit and KL back to #4 and pant pandya on #5-#6
Kohli and gang playing Politics, are u kidding me.pant i am not sure. prithvi shaw is an amazing talent, unless kohli n gang play politics he will be a permanent in our national side..
If not for kuldeep babar bhaiya may have saw pakistan off, you are talking about our mystery spinner
Hell, no.
Kohli and gang playing Politics, are u kidding me.
They is no room for opener in odis.
He played test series aganist wi and was selected for aus away test series and he got injured.
He did, he also credits IPL... And like or hate, IPL helps Indian cricket and cricketers one or another way...
Then India's really outta luck coz frankly I don't see this PAK team playing a major final in this decade.

i am of the firm belief that if amir does not make initial inroads in either of those games, pakistan will be out of the cup.
Bitterly disappointed with the West Indies. I just wonder as a cricket fan as to what kind of a pitch is it which this batting line-up prefers. On a flat track their bowlers end up conceding over 400, on a spinning and slow track, their batsmen get devoured by the opposition´s spinners, and on a greenish or a bouncy pitch they´ve often half their side dismissed by the 10th over. I mean, yesterday´s pitch wasn´t really too different from the kind of pitches provided in their own land, and yet they batted as if they´ve been put in on an alien planet.
The "Universe Boss" is all good for jokes, humour and light-hearted stuff, but the lack of seriousness on his face and the lack of the seriousness required in an international sports on his part really hurts me to see. I don´t remember the last time he made meaningful runs for the West Indies in ODI cricket. It was back in ICC Champions Trophy 2006 I think when Gayle last came good for them. He´s much ado about nothing really! It hurts really given the potential of the man.

Very well written. I hoped this world cup would really turn the West Indies cricket around but what a disappointment it was! The Pakistan game really deluded all of us into thinking they turned the tide but nope... they returned to their regular old ways. I felt the middle order was too raw to my liking. They probably should have had one senior guarding the likes of Pooran, Hetmyer, Ambris around. The unfortunate thing is that this West Indies team has a tremendous potential and a great leader but somehow got their tactics wrong at times. Some patience and experience in the middle would have helped them a long way!
You're not the only one. They deluded many of us into expecting big from them. My father even expected them to reach the semi-finals. Actually, the loss over Australia too had much hope in it given how tight the contest was, but I think from the Bangladesh game onwards everything fell apart.
Who`re these seniors who you think could've guided the inexperienced newcomers? It'll be interesting to know what names you've in your mind.

I thought Holder would bring about the change. I don't think they are listening to him. Their bowling strategy was spot on. No complaints except from Oshane Thomas. But batting against spin was really appalling.

Marlon Samuels immediately comes to mind. Maybe he could have played..
Not quite in my opinion. The guy never was and never will be a force to reckon in ODI cricket. His blocking around often gives the impression of him having got set, but then a horrible shot would end his 60-ball 20. In the end, he would only prove to be a burden on the team. Better play 10 players if he´s the only option available.
Haha.. tend to agree with you.. but they somehow they failed to transition the team well!
