India [285/7] beat Hong Kong [259/8] by 26 runs in the fourth match of the 2018 Asia Cup

If there is a sandstorm after 20 overs, Hong kong will win by D/L.

Shardul should have been kicked out permanantly after his Nidahas Trophy performances. Yet he made it to the England and now playing in Asia Cup.

I don't know what is keeping him still in the team.

See, India will surely win it but this has been a ridiculously bad bowling performance so far.

Kuldeep in now. The scenes might change dramatically.

Hong Kong will need to continue playing well, and not do anything crazy.....and who know we might see history in the making

I want Hongkong to win. This will put our team selection and middle order in the spot light.

Get ready for some deep dive explanation for this performance by experts,....:najam

Thing with Kuldeep and Chahal in UAE is that they will need to start bowling a bit quicker than they normally do. The turn here is slow and the bounce really low, so they need to adjust their game accordingly.

Rashid, and to a certain extent, Shadab get the pace right here on these pitches.

Worst part for IND is, HK likely to keep them in field till 12AM and tmro is the big game :(

Bumrah rested for tomorrow’s match or injured?

HK captain wasn't wrong when he said we would be aiming for an upset in this tourney

Is it bad that i geniunely feel bad for Indian fans? Their team has really sunk.

Well bowled Hong Kong. Assessed the conditions and restricted us. Still a good enough total and we should win especially with Kuldeep, Chahal and Kedar to bowl 30 overs.

Think Dinesh Karthik has played his last ODI game for India. Keeps throwing away starts, something he was never able to rectify all these years. No way he should play tomorrow ahead of Rahul. Kedar with his off spin will be a definite starter.

For last 10 yrs, evry time Karthik fails I had been hoping it would be his last Odi but it never happens. Could never understand how he automatically becomes a part of squad after 15 yrs of non performance. It's not just in recent past, even 3-5-7-10 yrs back, whenever some batsman would get injured, Karthik wud be sent as replacement and no one ever questioned that.

Imagine if HK beats India...... there will be emergency declared in India :))

Dude nothing to feel bad about. We had our fair share of good times in the last 10 yrs and we hope that selectors will muster some courage and take some bold decisions before it's too late for the WC.

Who would have Thunk!

People were ASSUMING that UAE is some sort of high scoring place. Now imagine these pitches only getting worse with time.

On Cricinfo: And that will be drinks! Apparently a fan just shouted to Shardul Thakur: "shardul bhai, jaldi khatam karo, kal Pakistan hain" (Shardul, finish this fast, we have Pakistan tomorrow)

It would be embarrassing for most fans but tbh I wud absolutely love it if HKK wins this match.

We cannot let cricket die in India like that. The team is so badly exposed. I really hope the selectors stop selecting TTF and give talent a chance.

Good start by Hong Kong but in the end inexperience will cost them. India's experience will win them the game here.

Ind 'll win this but amazing to see experts running away when best teams get "exposed"..

One positive is this may be sharduls last game for us. At least I hope so. We may probably win this game but not sure what will be left over for tomorrow if this goes deeper than anticipated.

The commitment of Indian coach and captain is seriously questionable. They both are not in UAE. Looks like BCCI doesnt cares about the win as long as the moolah keeps coming.

Russel arnold wants India to lose. You can sense it in his voice :)) he will feel better about his own team then.

Thakur is the most innocuous of players and is never a part of first xi so whether or not he is dropped doesn't change anything. It's the regulars like Dhoni, Karthik, Jadhav, Bhuvj who are the problem areas.

100 up...great effort by HK not sure how long it 'll last but 100-0 is an achievement

R.I.P.

N.B.—The body will be cremated and the
ashes taken to Hong Kong.

IND is risking themselves to be mono dimensional. Teams will start to plan limiting their top 3 and then manage 20 overs of spin. I think, biggest reason is MS's batting - for 10-12 years guy actually covered that big hole in middle order. May be, it's not a bad idea to drop Kohli at 4 & Sharma at 5, promoting KL to open with Dhawan and a new kid (Iyer, Mayank) at 3.

Otherwise, team is becoming too predictable with their tactics & formation.

Indian fans r getting tensed now. After all HongKong is an associate nation.

what is going on here guys just came back to office and got shocked to see the hongkong batting progress

India need to unleash Pant in ODIs now, and not wait for Dhoni to retire after the World Cup next summer. Rayudu and Karthik cannot take the team forward. We have seen their best and it is not good enough.

I would drop Rayudu for Gill and Karthik for Pant immediately - both need to play the World Cup.

HK has easily given the best performance of tournament so far as a team - better than BD & AFG. For last 40 overs of this game, they are actually the dominant side today and really making IND sweating.

India has the richest board in the world but getting hammered by an associate nation. :))

How did this team manage to become the no 1 ?

Impressed with HK player's fitness. These are amateur cricketer, still looks much conditioned than SRLs for sure.
