India and Pakistan amongst the top countries in improving Broadband speeds in last year

According to Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index 2017, India and Pakistan were amongst the Top 10 countries with improvement in the Broadband speeds over the last 12 months:

Still can't beat those European countries like Romania, Lithuania etc... You can get a 1gbps line there for less thn $30/month

There are companies offering 1Gbps line for $25 in India too but the problem is the size of the country and availability, the widespread Govt. BSNL lines can't offer such speeds as most of last mile is still copper based.
