Oddly defensive by India today. I don't know why the left their declaration so late. Aus are clearly not going to bat at 10 runs an over. Anyway, hopefully Haydos gives the bag of bones a right bollocking to finish his career off!

somehwat the same what pollock got?? aint it?

India declares. Aus needs 224 in 23 overs at 9.7 runs per over. ...can they do it?

What a ridiculous declaration. India have dominated the last Test, the first innings of this Test and at the first hint of a fightback India jump into their shells.

Oh well, considering how we were looking early in this game a draw is an OK result for us. Batsmen are improving and getting used to the Indian conditions. All the bowlers should be sacked and replaced though.

Well it has to be fair and square for every team and I don't know why Harbhajan was not held guilty. I can only speculate that this and the previous series against the Aussies has ignited more criticism and attention from the media and commentators.

India are the team which gets charged and punished more often than any other.

Instead of calling for new rules maybe India should try not breaking the existing ones constantly.

Then maybe they would have some standing to argue for new rules.

If they banned sledging you can bet the very first player to be charged under the new rule would be an Indian player.

The Indians learned the craft from aussies and we are grateful :D

Didn't learn it very well, our players don't get charged very often :D

coz match referees are racist and always charge the subcontinent players more...hey I didnt say it...Sunny did :D

What I dont understand is how Watson only got fined 10% of his match fee for abusing and sticking his arm in the way of a running batsmen whilst Zaheer gets fined 80% for giving Hayden a decent send off!

I say ban all Aussies (apart from Warne) from the IPL..... :))

Those of us who are desperately hoping that Test cricket has a future will not be encouraged by the insistance by cricket boards on preparing flat, batsman-friendly tracks like this one. The relatively good crowd that turned out for this game was sorely let down.

Sadly, on the rare occasion when a sporting pitch is prepared, the result always seems to consist of a chorus of howls of indignation from the batsmen, who nowadays are spoilt by playing all their cricket on feather-beds, and sometimes even a fine for a "substandard" pitch. No fines are ever dished out for producing flat, dull pitches that produce bore draws, so groundsmen can't be blamed for going for the safe option, can they?

It's up to cricket boards to take the initiative and do something about these pitches. Unfortunately they all seem to be too obsessed with expanding Twenty20 to bother about the future of real cricket.
