What's new

India v Sri Lanka l Warm-Up | Birmingham | June 01, 2013

We are not Pakistan to lose from here :yk

WE have never lost any match if we were in these position

cant remember been seeing cricket for 20 years

infact we use to bowl people out if they were in same position against us

the swinging yorkers of wasim and waqar were enough for us

Australia vs West Indies

Australia at 52/2 in 10 overs while chasing 256.

Warner and Hughes both gone for 0 but Watson seems in good form.

So all the crap abt IPL fatigue and batsmen in T20 mode have been put to rest by indians ... bring on Pakistan

i just hope we don't get pathetic pitches like these in the actual tournament.. what's the point in playing cricket in England if the pitches are gonna be flat?

No point in playing limited overs cricket on bowling friendly pitches. Reserve that for tests. Limited overs cricket is batting orientated.

Nobody wants to see both teams struggling to put 200 on the board.

practice match cant match the intensity of the real games. fatigue factor isnt because of the physical part of it alone, its majorly the intensity, mental thing.
So lets not get too far ahead of ourselves :)

seeing the batsmen hitting every ball out of the park on a flat pancake is repetitive and boring. there should be balance between bat and ball in every format, except maybe T20. otherwise it would just be batsmen hitting everything out of the park and nothing different happening in the game, the rules are favouring batsmen enough already I guess. these type of pancakes will not be used in the real tourney, I am sure.

I dont know man, i love watching low scoring. bowler friendly limited over games!

Smaller boundaries, limiting bouncers, bigger bats were not enough... the game is too in favor of batsmen so we need flat pitches as well.

Cant be sure about that bro. for all we know we might end up seeing pancakes all through the final CT!

I am pretty sure ECB is trolling asian teams by giving them pancakes for warmups and they will come up with green tracks in our official matches.

I think it's the warm weather which will disappear in the official matches. Pitches were flattish even during India's tour of England in 2011. Something with the new ball but nothing after.

whatever the case is, hopefully we get sporting pitches and even competition between bat and ball.

Pitches are rarely sporting in bilaterals these days. In ICC tourneys, there is no chance. Even in 2009 CT, Dilshan bashed a SAF attack in their own den.
