India win the 2016 Junior Hockey World Cup

Okay So we are in the finals.... We beat a side that has been haunting us for a while in Hockey.

In Champions trophy, they won in Penalty shootout and now we edge them out in Junior world cup.

They were leading 1-0 then we cam back to make it 1-2 and then again they scored to make in 2-2 and boy what a performance by our goalie Vikas Dahiya...

My question is what do you think is Indian hockey going from here....

We have dominated in Asia. Won both women and men Asian trophy. We were runners up to Aussies in Champions trophy. We did well in Rio as well.

And now in the finals of Junior World Cup beating Australian team.

Can we win the cup? And can we become the best again in hockey?

Indian hockey's biggest issue has been Gill and then Batra who have run the federation as their personal fiefdoms.

We were on an upwards trend under Walsh before the worm Batra got him sacked. Oltmans now is again taking the team on a positive trajectory so hopefully he will get the freedom to integrate these youngsters into the senior team in the coming years.

I hope so. Its a great positive that we have won the junior world cup after 12 years.
